Not a family friendly place. There were people playing loud and explicit music and openly using drugs.

How about getting a parking ticket for $90 to find out not your car not your tag and they still want you to pay it. Even if you stay away I have no idea how they get your name and address even if you were not there. I guess the third party company involved for collecting is just pulling info from local databases and ramdomly sending tickets in the mail to seem efficient.

Another great beach on the gulf. Direct access from John's Pass, the beach is well maintained and not too busy during the week. Large parking lot with showers and restrooms is available.

Beautifully maintained beach. Soft sugar sand as far as you can see. We rented a cabana, and enjoyed an entire day relaxing on the Gulf.

We stayed at a beachside condo. The view was amazing with the sunsets and the dolphins swimming by on many days. The beach itself is a real mix of people, couples, families, hippies.. but the nice thing is that the beach is so wide you can spread out and not let anyone bother you. The only downside is the Red Tide has moved north to this location.

The location is perfect but Unit 404 needs several improvements. Sloppy, cheap work has been done in this condo unit. Loose electric outlets, ceiling fan not working, open electric outlet on balcony, bathroom light makes musical tone when turned on, shower does not tight so water gets on floor. Could go on.

We are simi local, we live about an hour away. But we like to get out of the house sometimes and look around. We came across this beach and we love it, there is a nice parking lot with bathrooms. There is also a resturant that is pretty good with all types of food and drinks.

Other than being their during Hurricane Ian it was a wonderful experience.
Beautiful white sugar sand. Not too crowded. Perfect weather.
I like that this area isn't a Miami or a Daytona Beach with throngs of young people and loud music.
There were nice quiet peaceful beaches for us older people to enjoy.

We are planning on staying the month of March in the area of Gulf Blvd and Stuart Causeway. Is this a very crowded area and what can we expect around there?
We will be staying at the Kima Condos on Madeira Beach in August. Looking for suggestions on who to contact for renting the wood lounges with cushions. Thanks!

Safe to walk alone at sunrise? Is this beach safe for a woman to walk alone at sunrise for exercise?

The area appeared to be well lit. Quite a few resorts and homes on the stretch we visited. I would say it is no less safe than Clearwater beach. It is definitely not a secluded site.

Do you need a car in order to get to a Publix, Walgreens or CVS?
We are visiting the John's Pass area next year for a week and are in the need of boarding for our dog for a week. Any suggestions? Thank you

Do a search for hotels that are dog Friendly places to stay. I stayed at the Madeira By Resort, and some of those are pet friendly. this place is walling distanced to John's Pass as well.

Hi! We were looking at Maderia beach photos on Trip Advisor and noticed your amazing photos...especially the beach view from your balcony. Mind if we ask what hotel/condo you visited during your stay?
Thank You,
Lisa

I have stayed all over the beach. Beach Place is my favorite as it's close to everything. The Collwood is really nice as well. Unless your room in on the street side, there is always a view!
