About
Woody's Watersports is a great family fun activity. You can make many lasting memories with your family and friends. Jet ski/waverunner rentals start at an hour and can go up to four hours from John's Pass Village in Madeira Beach. Only takes 3 minutes to go under the bridge and in the Gulf of Mexico for a ride of your life. Both new and experienced riders are welcome to join us. You will be greeted by a friendly staff all who wants you to enjoy your rental experience. Call or go on our website for all the details.

Awesome experience. No crazy credit card deposits!!

Awesome jet-ski experience. Easily the cheapest we found in Florida ($180 for 2 jet skis containing 4 people for one hour). Amazing value, but the cost is not the reason for this 5 star review!
Everywhere we looked, companies wanted a $500 deposit per jetski on my credit card. Hardly Convenient!! Woody's simply wanted either a credit card to book the whole cost of the trip ($180) or a debit card deposit of $400. So we put $180 on the credit card and that was it.
Our kids are 19 and 16, but Woodys allow them both to drive the jetskis. Just bear in mind that if you are born after 1988, you must complete an online boat / jetski course, otherwise you cannot drive. The course costs $8 and can be accessed from the Woodys booking page.
Staff could not have been more helpful, informative or simplistic this morning. We were first time jet-skiers but felt completely at ease. Then we got on the water...wow. These machines REALLY move!! 45mph on the water is an amazing experience.
Altogether, it was a very reasonable, pleasant and exciting experience. Five stars all the way from Ireland.

Don’t waste your time with the others… go straight to the highest ranked rental place in Madeira Beach!

I’m not one to write many reviews, but Woody’s was awesome.

There are many places to rent jet skis from in the area, but Woody’s had the best reviews, and now I know why.

Four of us rented 3 jet skis from Woody’s on August 12, 2021 and had such a fantastic time, my daughter and her boyfriend rented a jet ski the next day as well.

The online booking process and online waivers were straightforward and quick, upon arrival, all we had to do was show our IDs and credit card and we were headed to the dock to get fitted for life jackets and to be oriented on the machines.

Tyler was great, he showed us the machines, which were all nearly new, told us how and where to operate them and we were off to the Gulf in now time.

The riding area is huge… about 1.5 miles south of the pass and 3.5 miles north of the pass, it was easy to find space to operate away from the other jet skis.

All 3 machines operated flawlessly, and they were fast. If you don’t get an adrenaline rush… something is wrong with you.

Returning to the dock was simple as well. We just idled around in the pass until they were ready for us and brought us in one by one right to the stairs on the dock and we were done for the day.

They had cubbies to keep your belongings in as well as secure storage behind the desk if you wanted to leave your phone or wallet behind.

We will definitely rent from Woody’s the next time we are in Madeira Beach.

THE ONLY place to rent.

Woody's has a great reputation in John's Pass. They have new equipment every year and they're not cheap cr@p. Theyre high power, all the way out fun machines. 1-3 people can have a great time on one ski, but i recommend everyone get their own, so they can go at their own pace. I live here and EVERY time I have visitors (I get lots), I bring them to Woody's. Everyone always has a blast and even first timers pick it up quickly and by the time we hit the bridge, they're pros. Their staff is 100% respectable and professional. Other places on the boardwalk, not so much. Woody's won't let you leave unless you're comfortable enough to get out there and have some fun. Out of the dozens of people I've brought to Woody's, not a single one has had a complaint. Every one of them comes back wide eyed and wanting MORE! I promise you this is a top quality place and you'll see why I ONLY recommend my family and friends to these fine people!

Beautiful day, fast check in and decent pricing. Nice jet ski, no issues. Check back in was easy. Would rent again. The only bad thing which nit on Woodys but John's Pass is flat rate parking was $37 for the day and we left after 2 hours on jet ski.

Our next-door para sailing got cancelled and we wanted to do something else. Fortunately for us we were able to get a rental as walk-ins here. The girl at the front was very cool and pleasant to chat with. We did an hour. Living in Florida this is the most affordable jet ski rental that I have founded. $75/HR. Most places charge around $60 for 1/2 HR. We had lots of fun. Staff is great.

First Ocean Rental

We made a reservation the day of our rental and were able to rent 3 jet skis. We had 4 adults, one teen, and one 5 year old. Make sure you have your boater’s safety information if you are coming in from another state! Also, it makes the process way faster if you fill out all the forms they email you when you book. Probably better to go earlier in the day. We went at 3pm and it was choppy on the gulf, but still fun!

Look no further, rent from here! 10/10 highly recommend!

This is the place you want to rent from. They were all very friendly and helpful. They give you a small box to secure your valuables that they keep behind the desk. There’s also a place to store your shoes etc. There’s also a small storage area on the jet skis for your phone etc although there is a chance that could get wet but they do put your license in a little baggy (required on the water) so we put our phone in there for extra protection, that way we had it for pictures on the water. The jet skis themselves were in great condition. They are not speed limited like some other rental companies are. You can take them out into the gulf and have at it. Other companies require you to stay in a very limited area or follow you around. Not this place. They do ask that you keep them within a reasonable area (they show you landmarks) but other than that where you go is up to you. Overall 10/10, highly recommend.

From the moment we arrived the staff were professional and made sure we were comfortable. They ensured all of us understood where we could/couldnt go, were properly fitted for life jackets and even arranged for the inexperienced riders to have skis with the ladder attachment for reentry should be be necessary. They were up front about potential damage and charges that could result from them. That was important to us. First time renting skis in this area and will absolutely be back!

Awesome waverunner / jetski experience

The staff at Woody's made a huge difference in our experience. Friendly, organized, safety-oriented, courteous. The ideal place to rent a waverunner. Cost was very reasonable. Parking 1 block away was only $5. Waverunners were in great shape and functioned flawlessly. If you are looking for something fun to do with teenagers, go to Woody's. Online booking was a difference maker for us. We were able to book the night before -- received text message instructions and reminders the morning of our rental. All in all a great experience. And if you like black labs, they have the cutest dog hanging out to greet you. What an experience. Thank you, Woody's staff!

Great experience with this place yesterday. The rep accidentally made our reservation for a day after we requested, but they quickly resolved it and we were still able to rent on the day we had planned. Friendly staff. The waiver documents can be accomplished online prior and save a bunch of time at the office. Can’t wait to do it again soon.
