Of course it's a tourist trap. Enjoyable, varied and fun. Great for people watching, boat watching and watching the world go by. Observe the bridge opening. Such an enjoyable place to be.

Parking is a nightmare. Once you park, you find drunks and obnoxious kids staggering around on the boardwalk. Stay away, or go to Clearwater or St. Pete for a better experience.

Great boardwalk. The channel is awesome. Dolphins galore. Many great places to eat. Great music. Many places to shop. If you want to just chill and have a cocktail or two this is a great place!

A super place to shop and an amazing variety of places to eat. A big recommendation though would be to go visit during the week and try to avoid the weekend rush!

We went there to see what all the fuss was about while we vacationed in Clearwater. This is an interesting shopping village with lots of things to see (and buy) including a Boardwalk where you can feed small alligators! I am not so enthusiastic about...More

Super fun place awesome places to eat. You don't need to go there to many times on your vacation or you will be broke. $5.69 for a small ice cream cone yikes. I am glad we went but it has everything you need and don't...More

20 years since I had been at Johns Pass and aside from the large more modern Bubba Gumps, the rest of the boardwalk remained the same. The fun dining and drinking options with the beautiful view is a must! Pass up Bubbas and try a...More

I really enjoyed John's Pass - lot's of little shops, things to do, and places to eat. Definitely a tourist trap, but I didn't mind :)

John’s Pass is a collection of good restaurants, boat tours, ice cream shops and lots of shopping for everything else! It’s busy, especially on the weekends. But if you go with the expectation of people watching and having a good time, it will be fun

There is a place that rents small boats at Johns Pass - they give you a route to take - it was a nice ride & we saw dolphins. I am not sure @ kayaks - but there are places to rent them all around this area 🐬
