It's no Jurassic Park, I didn't see panther, bear, deer, or alligator. But that doesn't mean they aren't in the area. I did see one wild hog, raccoon, possium, rabbits, squirrels, snakes, and lots of birds. Most wildlife spotted while walking boardwalk or hiking trails. You can't see much while driving, the sanctuary is just tough driving, cyprus and grassy... More

I wasn't very impressed. Maybe I was looking in the wrong place. Not too sure. The purpose of my visit was to shoot (photograph) some wildlife. However, I didn't see very much at all. I walked a trail that had an old broken down boardwalk and then some muddy trails. I've been through a lot better trails. I wouldn't really... More

I would not feel comfortable driving or hiking through this area during hunting season, but there was some interesting wildlife and looked we noticed some interesting hiking trails. We just spent around 15 or 20 minutes over here and would like to come back and see more. I recommend driving through in an SUV or pick-up truck and also hiking... More

I visited with my Cornell Group. Otherwise I would have overlooked this wonderful sanctuary. Driving was a little rough and dusty but the walking and boardwalks were excellent. Lots to see.

The four of us went just to hike and explore. We found the Hungryland boardwalk trail, which is a safe area during hunting season, wends it's way trough Cyprus and grassy swamps. We had a fun time, but gun fire in the distance may cause some folks to feel uncomfortable. I took my bike here a couple of months ago, during... More

This a stunning place with thick vegetation and a lot of animal life if you look carefully. A bit out of the way in makes for a great day trip with friends or by yourself.

Corbett part of the Florida Wildlife Management Area system and is a wonderful place to see 'remote' Florida. Corbett is vastly different than the beach life that is 15 miles east. There are miles of trails for hiking, areas for camping, ponds for fishing, and programs to educate on the area and habitat. Being that Corbett is in the woods,... More

It can be very hot in the summer, obviously, but during the fall and spring it is a great place to enjoy the Florida wilderness.

In palm beach county you have the glitz most people are aware of and the polo and horse communities but the good old boys go to Corbett to go hunting deer, hogs, even gaters in season. I taught RE principals and practices years ago and used to tell the students "you need 2 pair of Gucci's and 2 pair of... More
