I am always on the lookout for cool shops selling vintage action figures, specifically Star Wars. On a recent trip to Orlando to visit the usual theme parks and attempt to get as fat as possible on American food I stumbled across the Acme Superstore and Disney and Universal will never be the same again. This place is a geeky paradise they stock everything from wall-to-wall comic books to MASK, G.I Joe, wrestling figures, Star Wars and everything in between. I have been to many musty, dingy comic shops where the staff barely lift their beards up from their gam pet of D&D but in here the guys working there were cool dudes only too happy to help. If you love comics and collectibles and you are in and around Orlando be sure to take a trip out to Acme Superstore!

This store has everything! From comics to action figures, as well as the "Danger Room," Acme is a great place to spend some time with the kids. The staff is great and super friendly. The Danger Room hosts events and is available for rental. The store has a lot of events, from movie screenings to live action superheroes. We are there almost every weekend.

Acme Superstore is just an amazing place. They have a massive collection of vintage toys and comics for sale contained in a layout that is really accessible. I have been to many comic and sci-fi conventions and can easily say this one store has more to offer a collector.
Over the years the staff at Acme has proved to be very nice and knowledgeable and it's obvious the store really embraces the comic community; quite often they host special events and showcase new artists and really bring people together.
Acme has a great thing going on here and if you love anything fantastical this is an absolute must see while visiting the Orlando area.
My hats off to Acme Superstore, you are the crown jewel to the Orlando comic community!

I hadn't been to Acme in a few years but I use to go often. I decided that I would take my boyfriend there for his birthday today. I planned on buying him anything he liked. When we walked in no one acknowledged us. We were in the store for almost an hour and were never even looked at by the staff. The toys were picked over and many areas were empty. When we left no one even looked our way. There was only one other customer in the store the whole time. They missed out because the item my boyfriend chose was over a hundred dollars. I refuse to buy from an ungrateful merchant. This is unacceptable and I will never go back.

Even though we live an hour away, we've made a point to drive out to the store multiple times a year, and make sure we purchase something on each visit. This store is well stocked, and each visit is a trip down memory lane.
**However**, after our most recent visit, we probably won't be back for a long time. On May 3rd, I called and spoke with the Owner, inquiring about what kind of promotions/events they might be having for "May the Fourth" weekend. He told me that they would have a percentage, either 15 or 20% off, everything in the store. I specifically asked if that sale would be extended to Saturday, and he said yes. This wasn't some low level employee, this was the owner who told me this. Well, when we arrived that Saturday, none of the staff knew anything about any kind of discount. We spoke with three different employees, all of them knew nothing. They said we would have to speak with the owner, who was in the back on an important call. We waited around for an additional 30 minutes, and we never got an answer. Needless to say we left upset. We drove to ToysRus, who is currently having their going out of business sales, and bought stuff there instead.
In the days after this, I have e-mailed the store about my experience, and NEVER heard a word back from them. I'm starting to think that this is just a place to window shop, and that eBay is the place to go for serious collectors.

Love coming to this place. I love old comic books and memorabilia. This place has all of the right comics new and old. When I am looking for inspiration and to spark my imagination just walking through the doors gives me a jump start.

Awesome selection of new in the box toys and loose collectables. I don't know of any other place in the area where you can find this amount of toys. They also have a good selection of comic books and hold special events from time to time.
