We spent a wonderful day on the beach today! Greeted by Jeff who is such an asset to beach services and Jake who gracefully set us up with towels and umbrellas and couldn’t do enough for us. We had a delightful lunch on the beach...More

We have been coming to Longboat Key for about thirty years. The beaches are beautiful and uncrowded. Sunsets are breathtaking. If you want to unwind this is the place to be.

Spent a few days with my son and family at my daughter in law’s uncle’s fabulous condo here in Longbeach Key, Florida. Scenery stunning, fabulous beach with, despite recent red tide problems, dolphins rolling fifty yards offshore. Fantastic seafood restaurants. Awesome, unforgettable experience.

Full of high rise condoswith very limited beach access. Only two ways onto island and few stores, but several good restaurants. They do not cater to the public.

Several beaches in Sarasota County are issuing a No Swimming warning due to the bacteria in the water resulting from the massive fish kills from the Red Tide. Check the status of Red Tide in the area before heading to the beach.

Longboat Key has few motels/hotels, plenty of condos, residences with houses facing the gulf, inlet, canals, etc. It seems a bit wealthier than other islands. It has a few restaurants with Lazy Lobster being quite good and Tyler's Ice Cream shop right beside it. There...More

Wonderful white sand beaches with easy access. Only complaint was the red algae, but nothing you can do about it.

Beautiful white sand, turquoise water, and beaches that are hard to find. Look for the little blue signs, (posted all along Gulf of Mexico drive), take your beach gear, snacks and plenty of sunscreen for a memorable day of sun worshiping.
