This park is one of my favorites! It has great trails for hiking, all are clearly marked, and different areas that give a detailed history of what happened in the area. The cemetary dates back to easily the 1800's and I've always found a wild critter or two on my treks. Only a deer or squirrel, once even a tortoise!... More

Our stay was very enjoyable. The park was clean and well maintained. The sites are well cared for. Everything worked properly and we had no service outages. The park is quiet with all guests respectful of other guests. The nature walks are well maintained and there were sufficient signs to inform us of many things worth seeing. We will definitely... Our first stay at Suwanee River State Park was to attend the 64th Florida Folk Festival in White Springs. The 30-mile drive to and from the park was all on well paved back roads and very pleasant. The park itself appears well managed, but there is a skeleton crew of rangers that maintains it. A campground host cleans the restrooms,... More

My husband and adult daughter and I ventured from Tallahassee, Florida after attending a high school graduation. We were accompanied by our new puppy Madison 3 1/2 months old and grandson Tyler 5 years old. The Swanee River State Park was just what we needed to give Madison and Tyler some play time. The wind blew as campers drove boats... More

No-one has mentioned the bats! Do go watch them come out at dusk. What an event - at least for me! When they come out of the tower, they take a downward dip before getting airborne. I had a couple of oops moments! Ask how to get to the bat tower, if you don't know. Fortunately I got the last... More

We were passing through the area and stopped by this park to stretch our legs for a few minutes. And it was literally a few minutes before we were unable to enjoy the awesome trail along the river because we were being sucked dry by vicious, militant mosquitoes. If I want to donate that much blood, I can hang out... More

You can't beat full hook ups, very nice! Lots of old Florida to explore nearby. We had a great time and plan to return. The mosquito population was a little hard to deal with but plenty of bug spray helps.

Suwannee River State Park is a very good park. I enjoyed the river, the swimming, snorkeling. The trails the foliage, birds, wildlife; and the cabins are a wow.

Well keep park on the Suwannee River. Lots of mosquitos this year even during day light...use spray! Camping area is average with sandy sites.

We can't say enough about this wonderful park. The Cabins are like a home away from home, The river is beautiful, hiking trails with wonderful surprises, and a spacious campground. Perfect for kayaking or canoeing, this park, within a few miles of the city of Live Oak, should not be overlooked. Plan to visit, you won't be disappointed
