This was my first visit to the Gardens and my wife's third. It is very impressive with all the plants and flowers labeled by small signs and descriptions. We went there for our exercise given the length of the walkways and the nature trail. There are birds, butterflies, a couple of bat houses as well as the warning signs about... More

Hidden gem! Any time of year - but especially so during Christmas with all the lights, and in late spring before the heat of the season.

I have visited the garden twice and both times I was very impressed. Don't miss the holiday light show in December. You will be amazed at how beautiful the gardens are at night.

The gardens offer examples of many natural Florida plants, as well as offering assistance in home gardening. The location is open to hosting Weddings, and yearly decorates for Christmas with a spectacular lights, crafts and music. Located easily off of a major highway (S.R. 688), parking is free and plentiful. A Largo "Gem"

This is a must see for anyone wanting to see what Florida's plants will grow in this area of FL. So many beautiful plants to see and be sure to come during the Christmas holiday season to see the many lights.

I know it's Florida, and it's hard for anything to really grow, except for trees, but I wish there were more flower blooms. Christmas time is the best time to go, when they have it all lit up!

The botanical gardens were beautiful, well-kept (probably not a surprise, since it's on the grounds of the Pinellas County Extension office), and exhibits were well-labeled. The Heritage Village is also worth seeing (on the same grounds and easily walkable from the gardens). It was so hot on the day we went to the gardens we had to make a second... More
