This adjoins the Florida Botanical Gardens and is worth walking through to learn some history of the area. It closes earlier than the gardens (I think 4pm), so you might want to check it out first.

Spent a sunny afternoon at Heritage Park and found it fascinating. Not only were the buildings authentic, but the donated furnishings quite the finishing touch far exceeding expectations. Plenty of benches and shade. FREE. Will return, a gem.

With the trees, trails and heritage buildings this is a great place to spend a sunny afternoon. Friday's there is often music which is free. Very limited seating so might want to bring a lawn chair

I visited Heritage Village years ago when I first moved to the area. Interesting, but no big deal. I just went back last week, and WOW! It's becoming a Greenfield Village, a Sturbridge Village, a Willamsburg in a very laid back, Florida kind of way....More

This site is very interesting if you like history, culture and architecture, plus the grounds are nicely kept. The general store is not to be missed! I spent about an hour here. I'm guessing they probably have demonstrations in season. Great for kids and adults....More

Did this with the Florida Botanical Gardens, a very nice day out. Touring the houses is fun and interesting. Families , and those with small children can enjoy this also

This was attached to the Florida Botanical gardens by a bridge, so we walked about the village which has old buildings, some of which you can walk through. There are also signs outside each that tells their history, and where they were once located in Fl.
