This place is great! It is not much to look at on the outside, just a hole in the wall in historic downtown. But you are immediately taken away from any normalcy once you enter. Whether you are distracted by the miniature (nearly fully functional) Publix, or find yourself learning the process by which an orange goes from tree to... More

Kids loved this museum. The orange grove in the basement was their favorite. We anticipated staying only 2 hours because I've heard it was small. We had to pay for parking by the hour. We stayed 4 hours and I, of course, ended up with a parking citation. Come on City of Lakeland........get with the times and let people pay... More

We travelled from Orlando on Free Museum Day and thought it'd be nice to visit somewhere we've never been. So we decided to come here with some friends. This place is located in a very sweet downtown area that I would really like to come back and explore. It looked very promising when you come to the door (amazing mixed... More

Took my nephew and niece here when they were in town and they loved it. A lot of hands on things to experience.

They have numerous interactive exhibits set up for the kids to play with. Some of them are: theater, doctors office, a newsroom, a grocery store, a school room and an orange juice 'factory'. There is a cockpit of an airplane and a 'working' fire engine. All very clever ideas. There are other exhibits as well, but these are what come... More

$9 is a little steep for what they have but you can leave and come back all day. The workers were really friendly and the orange grove exhibit was a huge hit with my 4 year old and my sister's 11 month old. My daughter really loved the Publix grocery store exhibit as well! Some of the stuff in the... More

Took our 8 yr. old grandson on a rainy day. I wasn't sure how he would like it but he has lots of fun! Spent a couple of hours, then went to lunch. He wanted to return to do some favorites before we went home. We did and he enjoyed playing with some other children in the puppet show area.

I highly recommend this place, I have no idea why there are negative reviews. I have a 1 1/2 year old and loved it, there were so many things for him to do and most Children's museums don't have things for his age. I would say this is geared more for 1-5 year olds. There are 3 stories of very... More

Visited here a few years ago and decided to bring the kids back again. While the kids had fun, the museum is older and getting dated without many updates or improvements. My kids favorite was the play grocery store....a big hit! Younger kids will enjoy this museum more. We spent a few hours here and the good thing is that... More
