Since I went to School there in the late 1990's, I came to appreciate the collection of Frank Lloyed Wright works. I had known much about him when I took an art appreciation course and was lucky to land in the city where he had such wonderful buildings. Friends have also come here and want to see this collection. They... More

Although initially difficult to find parking and the Sharp Family Tourism & Education Center (in order to obtain a brochure & map), it was truly worth it. We didn't take a guided tour, but used the $5 guide to explore & found it very helpful. As always, FLW's architecture is amazing!

Our guide John is an encyclopedia of information about FLW which made our 2+ hour tour worth every penny. The buildings designed and built by FLW on the campus of Florida Southern College are beautiful in their simplicity as well as so representative of his later years. It is a site not to be missed.

This campus has the largest collection of Frank Lloyd Wright buildings that were ever built under a single plan. Even if you just walk the campus and view the buildings from the outside, it is well worth the trip. If you can get into the chapel and some of the other buildings, it is a real plus. There is also... More

A casual visitor who just happens to be at Florida Southern College or in Lakeland can have an enjoyable and educational experience by just showing up at the Visitor's Center on Frank Lloyd Wright Way, getting a map, and just strolling around. The visitor's experience will be greatly enhanced by taking the guided tour with a guide ($7.00). If you... More

This is a chance to view a collection of one of the architectural icon's collection all in one place. Though very different and not pleasing to everyone, one has to admit that the style is unique and will remain so in architectural history. To see his work elsewhere, one would have to travel to Arizona or New York or overseas.... More

Walk around this beautiful college. Take a tour with your senior. Its right on the lake that has a pathway. Everything is manicured so well. These pictures show a huge egret walking around and on the steeple. Its quiet. Peaceful.

I can't recommend this enough! Take the behind the scenes tour! It is a religions experience to be in and around the buildings. The staff are friendly and eager to share their knowledge of Frank and his work. I want to thank Jan W. for taking the time to show me around campus. She really knows her stuff!

I attended Florida Southern College and graduated from this school. My father also helped build the Polk Science Building, one of the Frank Lloyd Wright-designed buildings. Despite this exposure to these buildings, I couldn't believe how much I learned on the tour. I wish I had known some of this as a student there.
