About
Our Central Florida Airboat Ride is approximately 1 hr to 1 hr & 15 minutes. The boat is set up where everyone has a great view. Ear protection is provided for everyone and we have life vests for the kids. Under 6 is required by law to wear. What to bring: recommend sunglasses and extra layer or jacket during cooler weather. Camera, plenty of opportunities so don't forget that! Capt. Kevin & Capt. Barrett are native Floridians, born and raised on Lake Kissimmee. The tour takes your group along the shoreline of the 3rd largest lake, through the back-water marshes and around a unique fresh water island. The boat is equipped with audio communication headsets.

My husband and I began looking for a pet friendly place to stay on Lake Kissimmee back in January. We contacted Grape Hammock but weren’t able to make a reservation there on the dates we needed... they were already booked up. Instead of just dismissing us, they were kind enough to suggest another place nearby that we were able to secure for our vacation. We probably wouldn’t have found it if they hadn’t been nice and made the suggestion. We appreciate that!
While out fishing, we kept noticing the Grape Hammock airboats going by. We decided to take a trip, and I’m so glad we did. It’s well worth every penny! Kevin was very friendly and knowledgeable. He told us about several different birds as we saw them and pointed out a variety of other wildlife. We saw more alligators than I could count. Eagles. Bison. Zebra. Just to name a few. We enjoyed it so much, we almost went back for a second tour and would have if we had another day of vacation... we’ll be back again.

My wife and I joined another four people on a Grape Hammock airboat trip. As it turns out winter is a great time for a trip like this as the alligators love to sun and are pretty lethargic. Our guide was Kevin, who very knowledgeable of area, the waters, and the wildlife. I think the trip is billed as a one-hour tour, but ours ended up being an hour and a half. We were able to see many alligators, bald eagles, deer, eagles' nests, and too many bird species to try to name. One of the landowners on the lake had some Florida Cracker cattle and some buffalo, which added to the trip. My wife and I agreed it was our best day spent in the Orlando area.

Was traveling across the state to visits friends for dinner and decided to break up the trip with an air boat ride. I have been on lots of air boats but my wife had not ever been. Was not expecting much but I was so wrong. Our guide was born and raised on the lake an was so knowledgeable. Between a long closed exotic animal farm and a hunting preserve in the middle of the lake, I saw things I would not believe. When we came around a corner and saw a buffalo swimming in the lake, it was so unexpected and cool. We saw 3 more, many non native types of deer, turkeys & 2 bald eagles on the beach that we got very close to. Gators, maybe a hundred or more. Sometimes you would lot out a see a dozen. Our guide was so good at spotting wild life and aiming the boat at it so everyone could see.

As a 3rd generations Floridian here we decide to do it . My kids all have airboats, but doing this as family with Ricky as the guide. It was fantastic! He took his time, showed us all kinds of wildlife, did some tricks, took our picture, took his time. It was well worth the cost!!! Totally recommend them over any other airboat tours in the area!!! Thank you, and see ya again sion!

Grape Hammock Airboat Tour was awesome with native Floridian, Kevin, as our captain and guide. We started on the south end of Lake Kissimmee and with a few spins along the way, cruised along the marshes and shoreline of Lake Kissimmee, the third largest lake in Florida. Although the hot weather had the bigger alligators in the depths of the lake trying to stay cool, we still saw some smaller gators wading in the water. Besides gators we saw a variety of birds including a couple of bald eagles, an otter who had caught his lunch and the local bison grazing on Brahma Island. The airboat ride was exhilarating, and the scenery was incredible. Great experience!

Booked an airboat tour with Grape Hammock and had a blast. Capt Barrett took very good care of us and was a great tout guide. We got to see multiple gators, abundant water birds and even seen two buffalos on Lake Kissemmee. Everyone on the boat had a headset to speak back and forth and to also hear the history of the area. Highly recommend to anyone in the Central Florida area.

What a fabulous experience. We saw a variety of wildlife, including Bald Eagles, Red Tail Hawks, Cattle, Bison, Alligators, Deer, Various Birds, and more.
The captain was awesome at making sure we got up as close as possible while being respectful of the wildlife.
We took our two grandsons ages 16 & 15. Would definitely go again.

This is one of our favorite activities and we go at least once a year. The ride is fun and exciting. There are lots of beautiful birds and alligators. We most always see a bald eagle, deer, buffalo and other interesting sights. The kids favorite part of the ride is when the driver spins the airboat!

This airboat tour is so great! You get to see so much natural beauty. There are birds everywhere, so much aquatic flora, and little baby gators all over the place. We loved it! They bill it as the Real Florida, and it's true. Out on the lake, you see a side of Florida that's not really what shows up in pop culture imaginings of Florida. It's so beautiful and I highly recommend the tour!

Our family did the airboat tour with Kevin at Grape Hammock in early January. It was an unseasonably warm afternoon and perhaps not ideal for viewing gators, but Kevin made every effort to ensure we saw as many as possible. We all enjoyed the tour so much. It was a highlight of our visit to Florida.
It was so interesting to see Lake Kissimmee and experience riding an airboat. The wildlife was spectacular and would really appeal to bird watchers. We also saw turtles, water snakes, eagles, cattle , bison, deer and even zebras!
We highly recommend this tour!
