Typical main street. Nice for a visit

There isn't much to this main street except that its quaint and neat look back at old florida but the stores leave much to be desired since they are mostly business offices. A... read more

Last Sat. of every month a car cruise is held on Stuart Ave. Weather permitting there is quite a few cars on display there. The time is from 4:00 PM. till 8:00 PM. It is a free thing to do for the car buffs.

There are some nice shops there and the old buildings are great. They hold farmers markets monthly. Very nice place.

First, I must say that the hardware store, kitchen store, a little cafe, Care Center, and murals are beautiful! I love them all! Sadly the rest of the stores are either abandoned or outrageously overpriced.

We had looked forward to seeing the historical downtown as we followed the signs and when we parked we found ourselves wondering where it was. Yes there are signs on some buildings stating they are historical but many of them appear empty. I would have liked to know what the buildings had been. The only bright spot we found was... More

We had read of their historic (1920's) downtown, the flags read "Vintage charm, progressive vision". We were so disappointed. The stores were not much to speak of, as was the area. Perhaps, they are still working on the vision. One can imagine the elegance was once at the Grand Hotel. In its disrepair, it still is quite imposing. We had... More

A hope and a prayer - nice old buildings as many other old towns - few people fighting to save it - but a few interesting places - several empty ones - great Mayer Jewelry Store - couple places to have a sandwich - just a matter of time before they stick a fork in it. Really need a college... More

We were there between 2 & 3 p.m. on Saturday the 12th of July. The area has the old southern charm of a small town . The old buildings are great to look at. But most of the store were closed early so we cruised around the streets. Of course a major thunderstorm was brewing and this also cleared out... More

If people want tourist and business then people need a reason to go there. Stores need to be professional and open and close when they say they will. There is so much potential. Yes there's a hotel they let die. Instead of A sign saying felony for trespassing it wouldn't cost hardly anything to put up pics in front of... More

Quaint little downtown center that is a step back in time to the 1920's and 1930's. Good for a nice stroll down memory lane.
