A large garden with a carrillian bell tower which plays on a regular basis. If your English, as I am, the bell concerts are a novelty: as carrilian bells are long gone in England, so it's worth a listen. The gardens are quite large and full of camellias and other acid loving shrubs but nowhere as beautiful as the great... More

We took back roads to get to the gardens from the North. Keep calm, walk slowly and take in the experience. There are many different natural scenes to enjoy. The tower. It's history and the carrlion bells are wonderful to see and here. New children's garden will keep the little ones busy and out of trouble. Have a great time.

We really enjoyed our self guided tour at Bok Tower Gardens. They provide maps and it is very well marked. It was very peaceful here. The tower was something to see even though you are not allowed inside. We ate lunch in the cafe on the premises. It was tasty. They also have a gift shop.

This is a gorgeous place. But I was very disappointed you can not tour the inside. There were pictures of the interior in my tour book, but it failed to mention you are not allowed inside. I was told it does not meet safety requirements because it only has a 2 person elevator and only one entrance/exit. Also certain days... More

Bok Tower Gardens has been at the heart of Lake Wales since it opened in 1929. Featuring a carillon of 60 bells in the namesake tower, and surrounded by beautiful serene gardens and water features designed by landscape architect Frederick Law Olmsted, Jr. - this is a delightful place to unwind, stroll the well maintained walkways and enjoy the varieties... This was a ver big surprise. Had been there a long time ago, it is much improved. The grounds are beyond beautiful. It is very well kept up and the Carillon concert was very enjoyable. My husband is in a wheelchair and I was able to push I'm around. They did have a shuttle, but I decided to push him.... More

This is a monument in the middle of nowhere built as a memorial to the founder of Ladies Home Journal, a Dutch immigrant who made his fortune in the USA. Lovely, serene setting, beautiful gardens, and a unique marble tower soaring into the sky. Also s good place for lunch.
