Visited the winery while on family vacation. Very small, but has good wine selection. Kids enjoyed feeding the chickens while grownups tasted wines.

With an idea in mind to buy a unique Christmas gift, my friend and I headed inland to Lake Placid. We love little wineries and with a cute name like Henscratch we could not resist! The directions are accurate. We arrived right at Noon on a Sunday. Understanding alcohol is not served until after 1pm (Bible Belt), we wandered the... More

For all the advertising they do, you'd think that this is a bigger attraction. We stopped there to see what all the crowing was about (pun). A few products to sell to the tourists and some wine which was mostly mixed with Muscadine wine. At almost $25.00 a bottle, which one variety was, I'll get better stuff for much less.

I attended the wine stomp this year and it was a blast. Just recently I picked up the wine as well as shopped in the gift shop. There is plenty of jams, jellies, sauces, dressings, canned veggies and of course wine. They have a great selection, not cheap however the quality is there. In these cases I do not mind... More

I love going to henscratch farms to taste wine and let the kids feed chickens and just walk around but my favorite is their shop that sells jellys and butters and kitchen decor

We go to Henscratch every year for the Grape Stomp Festival as well as several times per year as we pass through Lake Placid. This year was a great year for the grapes. Their wines are the best. The jams and jellies are excellent. Feeding the chickens is always fun for the kids as well as ice cream.

Great little winery! Easy to find, nice farm, knowledgeable gift shop person. Bought four bottles of the award winning wines. Can't wait to have a wine tasting with the family.

This is a very small vineyard. The wine tasting was free. There was a small country band playing. There's a small country store that is cute. Staff is very friendly. All in all it was an enjoyable outing. If you're in the area I would recommend stopping in.
