So the place is cool, the food is good and the beers are flowing. Spotted in with friends while at a DPFL training. Went back again because I enjoyed my bacon, Swiss smash burger so much. The fries are also cooked to perfection. Loved the chocolate peanut butter beers much I bought two crowerls to take home! Don’t miss this spot! If it had been nice out would have loved to sit outside and enjoy the patio!

Parked nearby to attend the festival. Asked a passerby if we were headed in the right direction. The answer made us laugh. The couple said “doesn’t matter where you are going because you are close to Halpatters and you have to stop in. “They went on to tell us how much we would enjoy it. And they were absolutely right. After perusing the menu we decided we’d rather have a charcuterie board than fair food. Everything on the board was fantastic. It went really great with my hard cider and my husband’s brew. We ended up going back that night after dinner as well. There was a live band, the brews were awesome and the atmosphere was just fun and friendly. I wish we could duplicate Halpatters where I live. We would probably visit it every weekend.

About 15 steps to go up to get in, it was an old municipal building. Lots of rooms and alcoves that have been untouched which keeps this place unique. Good beer, too bad they were out of there cream ale the day I went. Free parking next door in municipal lot.

What a great place to have an evening! Great brewery beers including a mild pilsner and great blueberry seltzer but its how you drink them is whats unique. A beautiful historic building with things to do everywhere. A ping pong room, foosball room, board games, sitting areas, outside dog and people area. This is how breweries should be. Make sure you stop coming through just off i75 a couple miles!

1940s building with character. Outside fire pits and seating, 2nd story deck, places inside for quiet or noise - this place has it all. Good beer, good vibes, good food.

We ate lunch for the second time at Marion Street Bistro ( highly recommend) and were walking around the historic district. We found the Halpatter Brewing Company behind the bistro and stopped in. We entered the front entrance after climbing the long flight of stairs. There’s a bar on that level with all their brews listed on a large board behind the bar. We explored the building first and found a small room down the hall from the bar which had a large ping-pong table for customer’s use. We went downstairs to the ground level and found the second bar. That room had two large garage doors which were open to an outside seating area. The outside area had plenty of chairs and three fire pits. There were two “corn-hole” boards set up for play and trash-talking. The server at the bar was very helpful and gave me a small wooden box which would hold four small glasses so I could sample whatever brews I wanted. I only had to find the ones I was interested in and write the number of the brew on the box with a piece of chalk she gave me. I tried one hard cider and three stouts. All were excellent, I look forward to returning again and bringing my dogs cause it’s a dog friendly place. There was a large family with children there playing “uno” so it’s family friendly, too.

Food pretty good and really cool site. Friendly. Beers ok, not spectacular. No masks, anywhere, even from the waitstaff and bartenders. Go after Covid.

We were camping @ Live Oak & I was looking for a local brew pub. There was nothing in the immediate Live Oak area, but I did find this one in Lake City, which is maybe a 20-25 mile drive, made easy with the I-10. Halpatter is off the main rd. & found easily with GPS. We walked up stairs to the main entrance, but there is also a downstairs entrance. We took our spots @ the bar & immediately greeted by Casey. He answered all our questions about the beer & the history of the building. We started with a sampler of 3 stouts & porters & 1 IPA @ $2 per glass (4 oz./each). They are nicely numbered on a chalkboard carrier, matching their listings on the board. Casey recommended a Peanut Butter Stout (Smooth Operator), which was wonderful! Hubby likes the IPA's & enjoyed the Hammerknocker, which is very hoppy. We ended up enjoying a glass or 2, of each & filling our 2 growlers with each. We had outside growlers, which they accept. They also sell their own growlers. We ordered off a small selection of food menu, the brisket sandwich with kettle chips. The sandwich was very tasty & filling & went nicely with our brews. We also had small samples (on-the-house) of other brews on-tap, but very happy with our original choices. They have a large selections of ciders & non-alcoholic sodas. Prices for our 4 samplers, 3 beers, 2 dinners, 2 32oz. growler fills = $65 + tax + tip
I would like to give our server Casey a big shout-out for making our evening memorable & to Lindsay, for jumping in when needed! We will definitely be back on our next trip!

Fly by the number's.
If you venture off course from the Halpatter flight path, so be it. Be not afraid.
Colby will bring you back into the fold.
Try the sampler's first, and then a pint with a charcuterie on a butcher block. Feeds four.
With significant names like "Satan's Panties", "Drunk With Power", "Red Rye Saison", and "O'Leno" (not Jay Leno), you can work your way up from chocolate, to coffee, to lager, and stout. Just add a range in ALC from 5 something to 10 something and G2G!
I'm a Yankee from NY State and a Senior Contributor on TripAdvisor of over 125 reviews, and Halpatter smacks of newness, crisp wood, ping pong table room, and a Taproom downstairs with big screens for any sports event or private party!
I prefer IPA's which are a big trend in Washington State, and upstate NY, however Halpatter included a cider from Adams Cider Co. in Ireland called "Devil's Bit". I preferred Halpatter's "Drunk With Power" at 10% ALC, but then I was not driving! Bottom line: my friend Gary and I decided on a 64 oz. Growler to go of Halpatter's "Old School," a blend of hops and malt that melts on your taste buds and the luscious smoothness means you can drink this 5.5% ABV/ 55 UBU's all dang day playing ping pong in their room and burn it all off!
I loved the atmosphere, the rustic wood finish in all the right places, and if you can handle going up the stairs in what looks like a county building, and not a Brewhouse, then just be careful exiting the premises!
Truly one of those quality finds on my first trip to the Live Oak area of northern Florida.

Full disclosure - I love this place. It's suitable for families and has a great trivia night. They also have great food prepared on site but is also located close to a couple of restaurants. They have great food truck business also. More importantly, though, they have great beer and are always looking to improve on their product. This is a must stop!

I've only been once, and yes I saw live music/comedy, but only on a schedule, not every week. I'd check their website.
