My family (party of nine) celebrated my sister’s birthday at the Harbor Hills Country Club’s Sunday Brunch. The food and service was fabulous! We especially enjoyed the blintzes and crepes (just like our Mom used to prepare)! The roast beef carving and fresh fruit were some of my other favorites. Beside the delicious food the atmosphere was so special. The beautiful piano music and the spectacular lake views certainly set the scene for a wonderful time! We even were lucky enough to have a peacock pose right outside our window!

They have a wonderful Sunday Buffet and Holiday Buffets here. The food is wonderful. The dining area is very nice, comfortable, pleasant to look at. Then the Outside Terrace is beautiful, over looking Lake Griffin, the rolling green golf course. Try it some time. You won't be sorry. It is by far the best Golf/Country Club around.

Cart started dying around 15th hole. No yellow light ever illuminated. Called pro shop. Nobody showed up til we nursed and pushed it halfway up 18. We had to abandon and walk the rest of the way. Course guy says, yeah they've got several carts that need new batteries and the alarm lights don't work!! Ya think? No excuse for putting this cart out there. This is a hilly course so pretty demanding for electric carts. Our entire group of about 40 were seniors, so pushing carts not a great way to get us back there. At least I won't be going back.

Recently, I had the opportunity to play a round of golf at Harbor Hills C.C. This is not your typical Florida track. The course design was stretched over a landscape of very hilly country. The elevations for some holes were pretty dramatic and a welcomed sight in Florida. The architect, Lloyd Clifton did a remarkable job. The clubhouse and a number of holes offer a wonderful panoramic view of Lake Griffin. Even though the course meanders through housing, some very substantial, you never get the feeling of the homes imposing on your view of the hole or your shot. The architect took great pains to keep the two separate while still allowing the homeowners the feature of a golf course view. The course consists of a lot of elevated tees with approach shots to elevated greens. The landing areas are fair and even the recovery shots from errant tee shots usually allow some escape. What make this course difficult are the greens. For the most part the greens feature many undulations and turns. To add to the difficulty is the severity of the slope due to the hilly terrain. You do not want to put your ball above the hole. All in all this is a fairly good test of your game. The course was in very good condition. The greens needed some attention but I gather this was a problem suffered by most courses in the area due to near drought conditions. The Pro Shop and reception crew were very cordial and professional. We assembled in the grill room for lunch after the round. The menu and service exceeded my expectations. Apparently they are very popular for wedding events and other formal gatherings. In summation this was a terrific experience and I look forward to a return trip. The residents of this community are very fortunate to have such a wonderful resource.

Harbor Hills Country Club has a beautiful golf course with lots of character. Rated 4 stars by Golf Digest, the course is semi-private and offers rolling fairways and elevation changes. With tees ranging from 5400-6900 yds, it is fun for all handicap levels.
The grille room has a varied menu at affordable prices; the food is great and the servers are friendly. There is a fine pro shop and the head professional and his staff are top notch. Club members enjoy a calendar packed with golf tournaments and all manner of social activities. Every Wednesday there is a specialty dinner and two-for-one drinks. There is Friday night fare, too, usually with entertainment. Sunday Brunch draws folks from all over the county. The spread is delicious and the view overlooking the golf course and Lake Griffin is magnificent. During this past month, I have dined in three homes built by the present developer. They are beautiful with innovative floor plans. You won't find a better or friendlier community. Check it out.

Reservations required, easy to park, upscale dining though not too fancy. Piano music throughout brunch was very nice touch. Typical hotel-like ballroom but linen tablecloths and napkins and champagne, Mimosas and another brunch cocktail available with price of $17.95 PP. Fairly broad assortment of food including breakfast crepes, omelets, bacon, sausage. Nice salad bar selections as well.. Even roast beef, chicken, and fish for lunchtime diners. Broad assortment of desserts, the chocolate dipped strawberries were best. All you can eat of course. For the hot selections I would have liked a menu card so I knew what was in the covered server. Lovely location, maybe 30 minutes from The Villages.

The fanciest brunch in the area. Yes, it may be pricey ($18) but you've got everything from omelets to order, eggs benedict, roast beef, pork and/or turkey - definitely breakfast and lunch! Champagne and/or mimosas ($4, unlilimted) top it off. Reservations advised. Sunday, 11:00 - 2:00

There was a good deal of food and everything seemed to be OK. I know the people I was with enjoyed the omelets and crepes. I liked the salad bar and and the hot lunch specials including a prime rib carving station. There was also a desert section that seems to have several items. However, I found the wait staff to be understaffed and it was difficult to even get a second cup of coffee.
