WHAT! Are you kidding me? What an absolutely fantastic adventure! Dan took great care of my wife and I as we embarked on her first ever alligator/hog hunt.
We paid for a sub-trophy gator which would have been easy enough, but Dan wanted to make sure my wife got to feel the full affect so he had her hook into at least 4 other gators before she settled on the one she harvested. Dan made sure we both knew what our job was and how to do it safely and It was definitely a team effort.
We stayed at the ranch in very clean and comfortable bunkhouses. Dan (and his parents) made sure that we had whatever we needed to be comfortable.
Even if i didn't want to hunt a Gator/hog/turkey/water buffalo i would stay at the ranch just for the serene setting and relaxation.
I cant say enough good things about it...great people, great experience and we are very satisfied!

Had a great day in the swamp hunting alligators! In fact, we enjoyed catching the first alligator so much, we stayed on to hunt a second one in the afternoon. Couldn't be happier with the hunt or the process at Townsend & Sons Outfitters. Kristin was great on the scheduling, recommendations for tanners & taxidermy, and other pre-hunt information. Sean Townsend, our guide for the day, was fantastic! Super patient as we learned to handle a rod & reel; incredibly knowledgeable about alligator behavior; and very attentive to our safety as we walked amongst the alligators to find our trophy. At the end of our 5 hour hunting session, Daniel Townsend took care of all the paperwork and processing information - CITES permits / tags, how much meat we could expect from our 2 gators, asking about and arranging for our taxidermy desires, etc. Really a fantastic experience in all aspects!

My 16 year old son hugged my neck the nights after the hunt and said “This was the best day of my life.” This was worth every penny. From the first e-mail to the time we said goodbye, Daniel and his team were nothing short of top notch. I have traveled quite a bit, but never have I met anyone as attentive as this crew. Daniel especially, was pretty much with us just about all day making sure that all of our expectations were exceeded. We started the day with a gator hunt and ended with a hog hunt. It was a first hunting experience for all of us. While the boys hunted, I just enjoyed riding around and enjoying the beautiful scenery. All of us had a blast enjoying exactly what each of us wanted to do. I wish they offered ten stars.

Took our family of 4 two kids 15 &11 they had a blast. We came all the way down from Washington State. This are some of the best people you could meet very honest and family orientated . We all had a blast. I would recommend to anyone that would like to get a gator 🐊 that they have always dreamed about. They will make it happen. They treated us like family. If I could give them 10 stars I would.

5 stars isn’t enough! I had the opportunity to make lifelong memories with and for my 2 sons! This was sooo… much more than “just a hunt”. We saw so many gators, caught several and each of us took home our own unique trophy and story. Our guide was awesome and handled live gators like a seasoned professional! My boys get to tell their friends that they harvested a gator, sat on a live gator, and had so many other up close and personal experiences with alligators!
Both of my sons had the time of their lives! My teenage son has already thanked me more times than I can count! If you’re a parent, getting even 1 thank you from a teenager is an astronomical feat. So that alone should speak volumes!!!!

Daniel responded quickly to confirm my reservation. This is a top notch outfit. From arrival to departure you will feel welcomed. There was another hunt going on when I arrived so Jeff was my guide; another high caliber member of the staff. Jeff went above and beyond to get me on the right gator. We actually hooked up with 5 gators before we landed the right one. It would have Ben easy for him to just settle for the first one we came across. Instead, we landed some that were in the length range but Jeff said, “We can do better than that.” The arm workout will beg the question if you want to. Never the less, this is a professional, well run, hospitable outfitter that I would recommend. Looking forward to returning.

This was our second visit and it was as good if not better! The hospitality is top notch. The hunting was fun and this time, we added a night time gigging trip. It was amazing. Even if you aren’t participating, the ride and views are second to none. My son and I love this place!

My mom took me and a friend here. We stayed in the cabins for two nights, hunted alligators and hogs. It was so awesome. I was amazed how friendly the guides were. They were the ones who made it so much fun. I think hunting the alligators was my favorite thing, but the hog hunt was fun too. I can’t wait to go back again. Thank you Daniel and the other guides for the best day ever.

We had a great time with Townsend and son. Owner (Kelvin) went out of his way to teach us about gators and show us a good time. The guides were friendly and knowledgeable also. There is a frig and stove onsite . Community kitchen shared with other hunters. We brought home gator meat. Kelvin also gave us some tips for cooking gator. This is a laid back private safe hunting camp.

Great outfitters. Professional and timely responses when contacted. I hunted whitetail deer with Townsend & Sons successfully. Jeb knows where to find them. Looking forward to my next hunt with Townsend & Sons.
