- EKPhoenix, Arizona89 contributionsFair value for just a golf roundThe course itself is a great layout and when visiting in June 2022 it was in great shape, except for how soggy and soft it was. Our group has several embedded shots after drives and approaches on multiple holes. It wasn't a bad experience, the price is fair for a good round of golf but after visiting other courses we just had better experience and customer service at others.Visited June 2022Written June 11, 2022
- john pStrathroy, Canada3 contributionsdisappointing!Inform your clients of the course condition when booking a tee time! we travelled 1200 miles to play 7 rounds of golf in the 9 days in the Orlando area. we were excited that day of February 2nd to play Falcon's fire because my 3 friends had never played there before. I had played a couple of times 4-5 years ago. Started out great from the nice plush tee blocks and beautifull faiways. Then came the greens that's when the looks of confusion came in to affect, and not just one green but every green had some kind of sod patches or spots of dead rooted grass. All 4 of us felt that we paid too much money for the condition of the greens. This course was to be the premier course of our golf trip. We played 6 other courses ranging from $45-$60. If i do return to Falcon'Fire I would appreciate some info on the course condition at booking time. We could have played 2 rounds of golf for the same price at another average course close by . This was suppose to have been the 5 star course that I had been telling my golfing buddies about, but it turned out very disappointing.Visited February 2023Written February 17, 2023
- David HooverChattanooga, Tennessee110 contributionsGreen, Green, GreenWe played Falcon Fire Golf Course with a tee time of 2:22pm. Our cost was $61. The clerk said that since we were playing today, that tomorrow we could play again for only $49, so we took it. This course is very green and most of the pins are very good. We had played another course last week for $47, but that course was nothing compared to this course. We had to skip a hole in order to finish 18 before 6:30 pm which was almost dark. Since we have been playing in GA and TN on brown dead grass, this was a pleasant experience to play on real green grass. Good course.Visited February 2020Written February 19, 2020

This was the worst we have played in FL this trip. When i called to ask about the condition of the course and the greens i got the answer that the course is in great shape, the green is a 10 on the stemp meter. IT WAS NOT.
The fairway is in Ok condition for the price and the green was a 8 at most. The condition of the greens is poor at best. The cup was not fresh cut. The cup was ruffed up, the grass at the cup was dead and yellow. The putting surface was filled with spik marks and pitch marks. Some greens have areas covered with sand.
The GPS to the flag is also wrong. pin positions are not updated. The grass on the tee is as high as the semiruff. You can find much better Golf courses for the same price or lower within 15 min of drive.
sorry to say but never playing this course again!!

The worst of the courses we played. Greens were in real tough shape.
After round we were denied access to lounge for a drink because they had a private function about to start.
Course could charge half price and we would not return. Look elsewhere folks.

We played here in 2015 and enjoyed, so returned in Feb 2020 and booked in for 5 rounds and the course and staff did not disappoint. The staff is friendly and the course, in our opinion, was in great shape. We do not hesitate to recommend and we will return to Falcon's Fire.

First time we've golfed at Falcon's Fire and will be the last. Our first interaction was with the lady in the pro shop where we checked in. Not friendly at all and felt like we were putting her out by asking a question. The starter on the 1st tee was very nice and helpful. The greens are in the worst shape we've ever seen. The course is way over priced. The washroom on the front 9 was closed and parts of the roof were actually falling in. The worst part of our experience was when we finished the 10th green and our golf cart was dead. We grabbed our clubs and walked back to the club house. We informed the guy at the cart return that our cart died at the 10th green and his response was. "ok, we will get it later" and he turned and walked away. Really!!!! We expected an apology for our inconvenience. We expected that maybe he would have asked us if we wanted another cart to continue playing. We were so surprised by his response we just left.

Start over. Played this course a number of years ago have to say it was probably one of the most pristine courses in central Florida. What happened? How does a course so nice turn so bad. Staff in the pro shop very nice not so nice in the restaurant, 95 degrees that day saw the cart girl once in 18 holes and no water on the course. Sad part I am a member at Hampton Golf club really disappointed.

I played this place multiple times 10 or 12 years ago and really liked it. But it has gone to hell. The greens are just awful as are all the bunker areas. Whoever owns this let it go to hell. The greens had PILES of green sand on them when I played in the 3rd week of Feb. and areas where there were pieces of sod on the greens. No real aprons around the greens. It is a shame b/c it’s a decent layout, but the maintenance is like a bad muni course back home in PA. It is NOT worth what they charge for an Orlando course given all the other options here. The 3 guys I got paired up with with from Canada were shocked how bad the greens were. Also, the carts were a mess. They decelerate at random times. The Canadian guys tried to swap theirs out at the turn and the guy simply said “no, it’s fine”. They were not happy. Another guy was trying to swap his out when I returned mine and got the same treatment. And the GPS on the carts were wrong. On nearly half the wholes it had the pin placement way off (said it was in the back of green and was literally on the front edge of the green). Please don’t waste your money, there are too many other options in Orlando, I played Orange County National and will write a review for that. It was in great shape.

Let me begin by saying the staff was very nice and the course played well for being so busy. We rented clubs because we didn’t feel like carrying them for the one game we we’re playing in the vacation week. What a surprise! Most clubs have top of the line equipment for rentals. Both sets that were supplied to us looked like they were under water for years. Corroded with shredded grips. They could have better rental sets if someone went to flea markets or garage sales and bought up old sets. As for the women’s set, no driver!! Really?? At least the mens set had one that I could use. Shows u what they think of women. We’ve golfed Everywhere… even Beijing and Shanghai provided better equipment. This club should be ashamed to charge for such inadequate equipment.

Four of us came from Florida’s west coast and played here — we had a great time! The course was in fabulous shape and it’s truly beautiful. Everyone on the staff was kind, funny and gracious. We liked it so much that we booked another tee time later this week.

If possible the rating would be nil.
The course is nearly unplayable, the fairways were very wet, cart path only (the other 4 courses we played were excellent) greens full of crab grass and bare patches, only one restroom open and the bar was shut when we finished at 5pm.
They should not be taking bookings and I will be asking YGT for a credit on our green fee.

I had played this course routinely over a number of years ago and always loved it when we visited Orlando for a convention.
I was shocked to see the condition of the course when we played per MLK weekend. Over seeded with annual rye, the tee boxes were in in need of a mowing as we’re the fairways. The greens have invasive grasses invading and, unfortunately, no one seems to know how to repair pitch marks! Bunkers were not raked for a while as washed out foot prints are evident throughout the course. Again, no one who plays here seems interested in taking after playing out of them!
The course is in need of a make over….it’s probably well over its time for a redo.
Unfortunately, I do t think that we will be returning, which is a shame as it was a great tract in the Orlando area.

Hi there we will be looking at golfing there on May 28th 2015. With reading some of the most recent reviews on the condition of your course has me doubting playing there. In your hopefully honest opinion what are the conditions of you fairways and greens? I am coming in from Toronto and will be vary upset to play at a course that is not in great shape!
Thanks for your time.

The golf course is very good, however it is not up to our normal pristine standards that we would like. May is always a difficult month since the golf courses here go through a transition from the winter over-seeded turf back to the native Bermuda turf. And, in addition to that, we have been recovering from the hot and excessively dry weather we have had here since early March which has presented some additional challenges.
We did have several dry spot areas on a few of the tees and three of the fairways that were very noticeable. However, we resolved that and have been excessively watering those areas and they are recovering quickly. We do have a small problem with two of the greens. #11 & #13 each have a spot of approximately 75 square feet of turf that we re-sodded 15 days ago. This will not affect playability on these two holes, as the greens are large enough where the pin position will be away from that area. That is a fair, honest overview and overall we have had very few negative customer comments relative to the number of good comments we receive every day. You wouldn’t be disappointed in choosing to play Falcon’s Fire on your trip. If you have any other questions, please let us know!
