- travelmom24 contributionsFun family nightFun time with family ranging from 60+ to teens to a toddler. It's a rough night for the under 5 set, but overall, it's fun for everyone. The crowd got loud, fun and rowdy a few times!! Our server, David, was pleasant and attentive. Be sure to tip well! Food was served hot, well seasoned and was plentiful. Restrooms are clean. Sh9w courtesy to those around you, and stay in your seat until the show ends. Also, it's a good idea to use the bathroom before the show so as not to miss any of the fun.HUZZAH! The performers were great. I was let down that the village area was shut down- I was really looking forward to seeing it. I would come back only if the village is open. My kids loved it!HUZZAH! There were a ton of people there but they have their system down pat. Very organized, friendly staff, decent food (but that’s not what you go for), and of course a great show. My kids absolutely loved it and the crowd participation was great. We couldn’t hear some of the cast talking but again the entertainment was fantastic! Bring your kids and let loose! - Link Family AdventuresMinnesota32 contributionsFun night outWe made a spontaneous decision to get tickets and ended up having so much fun! We upgraded to VIP and sat in prime seats: front row center. Food was delicious! We are gluten free and they made two minor adjustments: instead of soup we got veggies and hummus, and instead of an eclair we got a frozen sorbet. The show was entertaining from start to finish. It’s true that it can be difficult to understand everything said through the sound system, but you get the gist of it. Our kids are ages 8 and 11 and enjoyed it, too!HUZZAH! We have been to Medieval Times many times, but this time we were very disappointed. We visited the Orlando location. Our tickets which were purchased 2 plus months in advance had a show time of 6 pm. When we checked in at 5:45 pm they said the show was at 5 pm, and they also missed one of our family members reservation. So we lost 45 minutes , and so missed part of the show and had to rush through dinner

Great Family Show! Recommended for all ages. The food was good and felt reasonably priced considering you are getting a dinner and a wonderful show with highly trained and skilled performers. We ate our fill and my boys age 8 & 9 enjoyed the garlic bread, roast chicken, potatoes, and delicious sausage( corn substitute)and a yummy chocolate eclair for dessert. We really enjoyed the show and had a great time cheering on the black and white knight! Found myself really getting into it and I had more fun than I thought I would! The knight and performers were great and really put on a nice entertaining show. The horses seemed happy, very well trained, and a were few overly enthusiastic about their jobs. Reminded me of barrel racing horses or race horses ready to run. Overall great show, dinner, & experience and I would recommend to anyone!

We went on Christmas day for dinner. The show was very good and we loved seeing the performance. So glad that it didn't smell like horse! The storyline of the show was a bit difficult to follow since the "queen" had such a thick Hispanic accent. The other people who spoke were fine but no one in our party could understand the queen (and we are around many Hispanics day-to-day and don't usually have issues understanding). We did purchase the Royalty upgraded VIP seats but I'm not sure it was worth it since I guess almost everyone has VIP seats. There are 3 sections on each side of the arena and we were in a side section towards the middle. I thought for sure that our seats would be better since we made sure to get there early and were the 3rd family to check in at the VIP window. There was no "priority seating access" and everyone had cheering banner so I'm not sure what those are supposed to mean on the website. As far as the meal goes, it was better than I expected. Chicken was moist and they gave to-go bags for all the leftovers. With regards to going on Christmas day, I feel like they went out of the way to not to acknowledge that it was Christmas day. The guests were friendly and wishing others a Merry Christmas but it was almost like the people working were warned not to say anything. Like saying Merry Christmas to a server when we were leaving and they looked around and then whispered Merry Christmas back. Like they could get in trouble if they were overheard. What I thought was hysterical about that situation was that Christmases were highly celebrated in Medieval castles so acknowledging the day would have actually been in keeping with the authenticity of the show.

Booked This on a whim and didnt know what to expect. Was pleasantly surprised though. The castle is clean and tidy, with a large congregation area and bar.
The show started bang on time and was very entertaining. Lasted about 90 minutes and never got boring.
The food was good and came out hot, no complaints there. It was just what youd call basket food. Soup, chicken on the bone, garlic bread, potato, sweetcorn on the cob and ice cream.
I must say the waitreses work so hard throughout the show and deserve a big mention. They certainly make sure the evening goes smoothly.
I can recommend this show to anyone just wanting a good evening out and doing something a bit different.

I went with family. It was our first time and the experience was AWESOME! We upgraded to the Royalty package but I don't believe there was really anything special with it. We did not get priority seating or anything like that so I wouldn't recommend it. We did add the keepsake drinks package and that was totally worth it. I highly recommend the upgrade for a quality keepsake. The glasses are glass and the quality is really good. You can also upgrade to an alcoholic beverage for a small upcharge when you get your drinks. That cost much less than I expected for a "touristy" place. The food was great. I was a little apprehensive but it was really flavorful and well prepared. The show was phenomenal! Very action packed and with a story line. My children are teens and got very involved in the outcome and didn't look at their phones at all. That is the amazing part. I have three things that I wished had happened that didn't. The first is pre-show, it would have been nice to get to see the horses or something like that while you wait to be seated. The second is during the show, it would have been nice if all the knights were part of the story line. Only 4 primary people have speaking parts. Finally, after the show, it would have been great to meet and get the autograph of the knight you championed. Overall, we had a terrific time and my kids all expressed an interest in going back.

I’ve been here a handful of times over the years, and while still a wonderful time, this would have to be the most underwhelming time. We purchased the Royalty package.
When we entered there were groups of people standing by the ticket area, in front of the crown area, just hanging out I guess? So we thought it was a line and then we’re told to go one way and then a different way, just overall confusing. When we went in the confusion continued, had to figure out our table ourselves.
The food was tasty as always, but the website said 4 courses but I count 3. We had everything listed on the website (soup course, main course, dessert course), except there was no corn, and we got a sausage instead (my favorite part of the meal) and the dessert was an eclair, which was good as well. But it was served on a styrofoam plate, even though the row in front of us had the metal plates. Maybe it was a kitchen issue, but our server seemed later than other rows, by the time we’d get the course, the row in front of us was already finished with it. He also spilled a lot of soda both times he filled the cup, so much so it was going everywhere and I used the napkin from an empty plate next to me to clean it up before it spilled on me.
The show was great, my first time seeing the current show, loved the costumes, but it was very difficult to understand what the actors were saying.
The chaos continued after the show however, trying to find our knight to get a photo with him, and I overheard multiple other groups say the same thing, I wish that was all more organized, there was a whole second room that was basically empty while everyone was cramped in the main room trying to take photos. I only saw a few performers, but not our knight.
The final disappointment is the medieval village was closed, and we weren’t informed until after we purchased tickets. We always like walking through and taking photos, and if it’s closed for whatever reason that’s fine, but I wish that info would have been more prominent(if there at all) as we were purchasing or a discount on admission due to not being able to get the full experience.

Fun NYE with kids - We were in town for an athletic tournament and took our kids here for a NYE activity. It was a fun evening. They enjoyed cheering for the yellow knight, eating with their hands (the food was decent), and watching the jousting, etc. it’s a bit pricy for what you’re get, but overall a good time.

If you don't eat chicken you can ask for the other option of beans and rice.try to get the red and yellow knight he looks like a real proper knight and gets into character the sheets are good to expecialky if you get close to the queen.Went with my 23 and 24 year old sons and they each bought a beer horn and stand filled with mead and loved it.The gift shop is pricey but very nice. If anyone wants to find a restaurant " slash" entertainment place for the entire family including small children this is the best place for that. All of us enjoyed our time together here eating, drinking, and watching Medieval battles and horses compete while rooting for our team of Knights. We will always return.

We weren't sure what to expect since we had never been to a Medieval Times Dinner experience. The food was hot and plentiful and having permission to eat with your hands was fun. And from conversations we overheard, they are able to accommodate food allergies and vegetarians. We enjoyed the show. The horses are magnificent and the performances were engaging.
The only complaint we have concerns the sound system. The show IS very noisy due to the audience participation and enthusiasm. Though they did quiet down when the performers were speaking, it was still nearly impossible to hear/understand what was being said. So we missed out on the "plot" of the show. (We realized from the start this was going to be a problem since we couldn't even hear the safety announcement before the show started. We guessed what is was because of the spotlights shining on various doors.)
Also, when our server came, she tried to talk to all of us at the same time. Again, the noise level does not make this possible. So most of the time, we had no idea what she was asking or telling us. We suggest she can hand out a laminated card for people to read with her spiel. Or perhaps the information can provided differently.

For general admission, how do I ensure I can get seats around the middle area? What time do I get there for a 5pm show?
Written April 13, 2024
The meal is served "medieval style", which means all the food is eaten by hand (no knives, forks or spoons). They serve soup or broth in a cup with a handle, and you get bread. it's my understanding (although I didn't order it), that they have dietary options, and I would think an inquiry at whichever location you are considering would be able to guide you on the dietary selections you need. The kids would love the horses, so I hope you can find the right combination to take them. Good luck, and God Bless. Catfish.

You can tell your server at time of seating. I did that twice. Going for the third time tonight.

Can anyone answer questions about seating for a handicap 11 year old? Do you sit in chairs or on a bench? The child would need extra space as she tends to grab others food. How many people are at a table?
Written June 24, 2019
I would definitely contact the venue first and get the name of the manager you make the prearrangements with. You sit in chairs at a bench next to others. Scalding hot soup served in bowls with handles would scare me just as the idea of having a toddler sit on my lap did for the same reason. Once they realized my concerns, the manager was very quick to address them so all the kids could see the show, the floor staff were not as equipped or empowered to make that happen.
