Many potential volunteers and visitors wishing to visit CJ Acres Animal Rescue Farm from afar wonder where to stay. We always recommend renting a cabin at Gold Head State Park as it's only a five-minute drive away. There's also tent camping and plenty of activities...More

This was our first time here with our 22ft travel trailer. This is definitely a very dog friendly park. We stayed at campsite 54 which was on the Lake loop, partial shade but 46, 47, 48 had much more shade. A lot of bugs here...More

I am a fan of Florida State Parks. Gold Head Branch has a nice variety of trails, campgrounds, cabins, a ravine, and 5 different lakes on the park property. It is a large park. The only downside is that some of the lakes have been...More

This is not a luxury hotel, it is a state park with accommodations for both tent and RV campers. Dog friendly for responsible owners.

I went on a cold weekend with my best friend and her family. We had a wonderful time and went site seeing. We found a small spring/creek. The water was icy cold. I don't remember what this was called but we went to a hammock...More

Lake with water is a short walk from the park’s road. There is a ravine with steps leading down to a short (or long) trail. There is a playground and sometimes ranger programs. Whether you want to stay for 30 minutes, camp, or hike all...More

Very nice, clean, well kept State Park. Stayed in cabins 103, 104, 105 and 107. All were clean and comfortable. Now do not expect city amenities. This is a remote park and expect to be off the grid with no TV's and sketchy cell service....More
