We are a family that likes to include our dog in our outings, especially if we plan to be gone for most of the day. We chose Sombrero Beach to give my ma-in-law a taste of the Keys while she was here visiting us in Miami. It was beautiful; the facilities were clean with a nice playground. Bring umbrellas and... This beach was clean and the water good for snorkeling. There were restrooms for changing and a playground for children.

Spent a great time here, beautiful view, soft sand (except the rocky part), great facilities, including pavilions, outlets, benches and grills for convenience. Everything was well maintained and clean.

Very clean! Great beach for families with young kids! There's a playground, bathrooms, and outdoor "showers" to rinse off!

Lovely beach area - well tended with views to die for. It's not huge but gives you enough of the white Florida sands.

If you're looking for a beach where you can take your dog, this is it. Dog-friendly, kid-friendly, nice looking beach, not rocky. Only thing I noticed was that on the day we went, there was alot of seaweed, not sure if that's the norm, but that day there was definitely alot. I would defintely go back.

Lovely beach. Lots of on street parking. Facilities were available. No lifeguard. THe beach itself is kinda in a cove so its realtively calm which is good for kids.

My 4 year old twins loved this beach. Ample sand for amateur sand castles. Parking was very close to the beach. Toilets and showers available. The kids saw fish in their natural element and understood the importance of the sea grass to the ecosystem. The water was calm enough for them and we didn't have to worry about high waves and... More
