Kevin and his first mate Riley were amazing. Those guys worked and made sure we came home with a ton of fish. Our group were all beginners and they catered to us. Super friendly, super knowledgeable and very willing to teach us so we could be involved in every part of the trip! Can't wait to go back for more fun!

We had a great time chartering the "Selfish" for a half-day out of Islamorda, in the Florida Keys! Captain Kevin Hennings and First Mate Matt Murray were extremely knowledgeable and hard-working. We did the "reef fishing" option (instead of deep sea) and caught Mutton snapper, hog fish, Porgies, and barricudas! We even caught a puffer fish that puffed up huge!
The charter includes water, ice, and frozen bait; we also caught "bally-hoo" fish to be used as live bait. But most importantly, you get the advantage of the crew: the Captain gets the boat where you need it and the Mate gets all the gear (and chum!) in order. We were pulling in fish left and right!
Strongly recommend it, we went with our 13 year old who did the best of all of us!

Great full day of fishing with Capt Kevin 5 different varieties of fish only kept enough for dinner caught and released so you can catch on your trip

Capt. Kevin gave my husband and I our bucket list experience. We hired him to go with us on our boat, fishing for mahi-mahi. He taught us how to fish for it, found the spot and it was on! He was funny and patient and help us at every turn, even through my seasickness! It was a memorable experience we will never forget. So if you are in Islamarado and need to charter a fishing captain please call Capt. Kevin Hennings he will give you a great trip !!!!

My wife and I had a memorable trip with Captain Kevin this past weekend. Being an experienced boater myself, I was intrigued with his large GPS database that kept us on the fish on a beautiful day. He's an extremely knowledgeable guide that kept us well informed as to the finer geographic points of the area we fished.
On the ride back to the dock, the seas picked up and my wife was a little woozy, but Kevin even had a large bean-bag for her to sit in which she claimed was a life-saver. That's a first for this life-long boater; I've never seen a bean-bag in a boat before, but what a great idea...
Another plus - he's a great guy - you'll enjoy your day with him. (And, NO, I'm not his dad - I'd never met him before our trip!)

Captain Kevin took great care of us!! He was very knowledgeable and put us on the fish. We caught Mahi, Blackfin Tuna and a few other varieties of fish. Thank You for a fantastic day! We will definitely be fishing with Angler's Answer again!

Capt. Kevin Hennings delivered a great experience for my group when we booked with him for a half-day charter out of World Wide Sportsman in Islamorada, FL (mm 81.5 bayside).
We met at the dock at 7:30 am, and he was ready to go right away. As we left the dock he queried us about what kind of fishing we wanted to do (fish to eat, sportfishing, species specific, or just wanted to catch and release lots of fish). We wanted to catch a lot, maybe a few to eat - and he had the spot.
We spent the morning catching, keeping, releasing, catching more, releasing more, keeping some, repeat, repeat. The four of us on board didn't stop casting and catching until we pulled the anchor up and returned back to the marina.
I would recommend Capt. Kevin for both experienced anglers, and first-timers. If I'd had my kids on this trip, they would have had a blast as well.

Tuesday, 10/14/2015, the wife and I went on a chartered off shore fishing trip with Capt. Kevin Hennings. First off, Capt. Hennings is a super friendly person with a great personality, very knowledgeable and very insistent with pleasing his clients. This day the fish were not very cooperative and at no fault to Capt. Hennings. He tried numerous styles of fishing and would not give up until the wife and I finally caught all the fish we wanted. He spoiled us by catering to our every need. I would strongly recommend Capt. Hennings to anyone wanting a fun day at sea.

My dad brother and myself went offshore fishing with Captain Kevin Hennings on his center console boat, Selfish. The boat was able to break the offshore waves and make a comfortable fast, short ride to his offshore spots. The first lines in the water at his first spot we tripled up on Black Fin Tuna. That was just the start, we filled the cooler then headed to some more spots to catch a variety of other fish for the cooler. We went to Lazy Days for dinner and they prepared our fish for us in many ways that were all amazing! Had amazing time and made many memories with my family that will last forever!

We stumbled upon Kevin and started talking. Before long we had booked a trip for our family the next morning. He was really patient with us and made sure we all had a great time. The best part was I didn't have to clean the fish! It was a stress free day and my entire family enjoyed this experience. Kevin was a great captain! Very friendly and easy going.
