My first open water fishing experience was great!! My fishing guide was Captain Brian Sandage and he knew exactly where to go for whatever fish you were interested in catching, very experienced and extremely patient and polite. If you are in Islamorada, I would highly recommend scheduling a fishing trip with Florida Keys Fun Fishing. They are the best!! Guarantee you'll have a wonderful fishing experience!!!

Islamorada is on every fisherman’s bucket list so for my hubby’s and son’s March birthdays I booked a Fla. getaway and let them research their choice of fishing charters. They settled on Florida Keys Fun Fishing / Dream Catchers and Capt Ed did not disappoint!! We have been fishing many places all over the world and Ed is one of the best. Super professional, knowledgeable and personable - and he works his butt off to give his customers the best fishing experience he possible. Thanks for an AWESOME birthday trip, Ed!! You are very good at what u do! We sure appreciated all of your hard work and expertise. Come fish with us in Canada sometime!

This charter company was recommended to us by a friend, and it was the best fishing experience we have ever had! CPT Brian is a knowledgeable, experienced and professional boat captain and fisherman. He made us feel comfortable and relaxed, which made for a great experience. We highly recommend Florida Keys Fun Fishing for anyone who wants a great fishing experience. No matter your fishing experience level, you will have a blast!

We chartered a half day PM trip with Ed on 1/4/21. We let Ed know our goal was to catch and release as many different species as possible in the back bay/everglades on light tackle. Ed took us out into the back bay basins where we were on the fish continuously for almost the entire trip catching as many as 9 species, Ladyfish, Jack Crevalle, Saltwater Catfish, Sea Trout, Pompano, Black tip shark etc... The only time we were not continuously catching was when my 12 year old son was fighting a 5' Hammerhead shark for 20-30 minutes and all other lines were up. In addition to the fishing we added a Portuguese Man O War and a few new birds to our bucket list including a Roseate Spoonbill in mid flight. The bay boats are in top condition and very well equipped. We fished with two adults, two teens and the Capt with plenty of room to cast, jig etc... Overall a great experience blessed by perfect weather. We plan to return for Tarpon season 2021.

We went for 4 hours on a bay boat with Brian. He seemed very knowledgeable about the area and there was a great use of time and progression from teaching our son how to cast in an area loaded with fish. He was pulling up snapper as fast as Brian could pull ‘em off and hook the bait! We went to a few areas to try for different fish and the highlight was our kid pulling up a shark! We did a little snorkeling which I was grateful for but the shark was really the highlight!

Our family had the best time with Captain Brian. My adult daughters had never really been salt water fishing before and they had a blast. Captian Brian knew just where the fish were and was extremely patient and funny with our novice fishing family. If I have the chance to go back, I won't go anywhere else. The boat was immaculate and the weather was just beautiful. It was the memory of a lifetime. Next time we might try shark fishing.

Captain Eddie took our family out for the morning. He was fantastic! We told him our boys would love to see or catch sharks, so he got back off the boat to bring on the big bait. And he delivered! We caught 2 sharks and a barracuda. He was so very patient with our 6 and 9 year old, very kind, and a fun guide! He let both boys pilot the boat on the way back. Definitely made memories that we will forever look back on! Our whole family highly recommends him and his charter, and will use them again when we are back!

We had the absolute pleasure of taking a back country charter with Captain Mark Johnson. We had to postpone our trip due to something that is also name after a beer, and all we wanted to do was fish. We fish a lot on the weekends normally and just needed a change of scenery and wanted to catch as many fish possible in the keys (Islamorada is THE place to be for this). We had a charter the day before the one with Captain Mark and while there is never a bad day on the water, we felt disappointed. That was taken away very shortly after stepping onto the amazing Islamorada Boat Works ride with, by far, the most knowledgeable captain I’ve ever been lucky enough to charter (I’ve done quite a few since my fishing obsession began). Captain Mark is hilarious, patient, a great teacher and most importantly, catches you fish!!! I doubled my career snook count in a few hours, all on artificial lures—and I’ve never caught a single fish on artificial. His knowledge of the area is unsurpassed as he has been doing this, in Islamorada, since a very young age. We can’t stop talking about what an amazing experience it was and are already looking to book in the fall with him again. Additionally, his wife Kara made the booking experience beyond easy (sometimes a really hard thing to find with fishing charters) and put us at so much ease-she is the best!!! Last note - we would go with any captain that Captain Mark has trained. If he can correct my casting and double my snook count in a few hours, guaranteed his crew is legit. Thank you again for memories for a lifetime!!!

Took the family out to the bay side this week with Captain Ed, and what a great experience. We had a total of five, and he was overly patient with everyone and did an excellent job making sure everyone caught some fish while out on the trip. My son caught his first fish in no time. If you are looking for a place to fish and you have a family that’s not too experienced, this would be great for you. Ed made sure everyone had fun, and I would think they can tailor your trip around all levels.

Bay side was our trip towards the Everglades. We caught many varieties of fish including a shark. Highly recommend to anyone in the area. There are many fishing charters, I went this route based on the reviews for my family and Ed didn’t disappoint.

One of the best fishing trips ever! We had the time of our lives with Captain Eddie fishing the flats off Islamorada! We caught 5 sharks, a big snook, 25 jacks and a bunch of blue runners and snappers. Capt Eddie was extremely friendly and accommodating with my 6 year old son. He made us feel like VIPs, catered to what we wanted to catch and helped catch a lot more beyond that. It was worth every penny as Captain Eddie created an experience that we won’t ever forget. Thanks, Captain Eddie!!
