If you are in Islamorada, you are likely there to fish. Fin Hunter Charters is absolutely the best there is! We are a family of 4 (with two young daughters). It was such a pleasure to be on a beautiful boat, with a terrific fishing guide (Captain Paul), with lost of fish to catch. Captain Paul kept adding new bait to the hooks, and tirelessly worked to ensure our family had a wonderful day of fishing and sightseeing. Most other boats would not take a group of 4, but Paul was so very accommodating to us and to our young daughters. What a superb day we had! If you want a beautiful boat with an experienced, knowledgeable and caring captain, this is the one for you.

I have fished four or five times each January with Capt. Paul Hunt for the past twelve years. He offers great fishing adventures / eco tours and possesses local knowledge which makes each trip a memorable one. He is a calm, relaxed knowledge guide who finds and catches fish. He has high quality fishing gear and equipment. Paul does everything possible to insure you have a day of excitement and fun. Always a great trip !

I fished with Paul Hunt two days in November. We caught keeper Sook, redfish and watched tarpon roll unwilling to bite. He is a knowledgeable, professional, courteous guide who consistently does his best to insure you have a great experience regardless of skill level or experience. I have fished with Paul and others for more than 15 years. He continues to be the best!

Tried getting my wife into fishing, and she was more than willing to try. But, after two failures this was our last attempt. If successful, wifey would probably want to fish some more. If we failed, last chance we would have gone fishing.

Capt Paul did not disappoint! Was a last minute reservation, and Capt Paul was able to take us out. Once we got to the docks, Capt Paul gave us a few options: Go to the Gulf and try for Spanish Mackerels which were biting quite good, or go to the backcountry for some redfish and snappers but there would be less time fishing.

Let my wife choose, as a couple of days before she got a bit seasick on a party boat in Tampa. She opted for the Gulf, and while choppy being out in the open water with the fresh air did not affect her at all.

After we got there, both got hits on the first cast. I almost forgot how to hook them, but after a few times I gots my skill back. Not good enough, as my wife was at one point pulling in a Spanish Mackerel on every cast. Figure we must have released about 30-40 Spanish mackerels, kept four and one Mangrove Grouper.

Was only a half day, but seems to make up for the 2 previous times we went out fishing and got nothing. Both returned to Miami tanned on one side, and sore shoulders!

Thanks Capt Paul! Will definitely look you up again next time we're in Miami.

We booked Captain Paul for a half day of fishing in the bay. He was able to get us to the fishing holes but had to throw back most of the snappers because of size. So we had a lot of action but little to keep. Although we were chased around a little by a storm, Paul worked hard to make it fun. He is not one of those chatty and controlling captains. He will do as much or as little as you want. If you want to bait your own hook he will hand you a shrimp. If you want him to do it he will. A very relaxed and easy fishing experience. The only thing to consider is that there is no top for shade. We were lucky and the day was overcast. Otherwise it could have been a really hot and sunbaked day.

Used Capt. Paul Hunt to go fishing last week. We had a great time, caught some fish and Paul was a wonderful captain. Would definitely hire him again on my next trip to FLA.

Fishing with Paul in January can result in cold and wind, but Paul always finds us fish! This January we caught 8 - 10 large redfish when other guides had their guests slapping the water with out results. Paul is calm and relaxed but always delivers. I am going again with Paul in May when the waters are warmer and expectations are even greater.
