Our party of 6 had a great time on our full day trip. We caught a great Wahoo, our limit of Black Fin Tuna and several King Mackerel. Captain Jesse and mate Gary worked hard for us all day. The Kings were biting at the end of the day and they stayed late to catch as many as we could. Would definitely recommend booking a full day if you can, allows time to try more options. Also book your trip early in your vacation, you will need several days to eat all your fish!

We had an amazing family day with Captain Jesse and first mate Ed! Jesse was so professional and proactive confirming our trip and sharing the details on all the amenities offered on this fabulous boat. Although my husband had been on fishing charters before, my daughter and I were essentially first timers. They were accommodating and friendly, and spent extra time using their expert skills to assure we had a successful trip. We had an amazing day and look forward to having our delicious catches - each of us caught a Mutton Snapper - cooked up tonight at a local restaurant. Would definitely recommend Dog House Fishing Charters and look forward to another trip!

Captain Jesse did a great job with our group that included beginner and experienced fishermen in July 2020. Very professional and reliable. His boat is very spacious and even has a cabin with AC. I highly recommend Captain Jesse and Dog House Charters!

We were late getting out due to mechanical issues with the boat. We paid for six people to fish but there were only two poles out at a time. We made the call as a family, 2 hours in due to motion sickness and bad weather conditions (10-12 ft swells). However at the same time the weather conditions were so rough the boat anchor broke and we had to go in anyway. He was forced to cancel because they could no longer anchor. There was no acknowledgement on the captains part of their need to go in and they charged us full price $900 plus the $36. For credit card. Then tip the 1st mate $180. Not even an offer for discount. Yes we said we were done but either way they couldn't continue anyway. Weather sucks but come on. I would've stayed out but they could not even if they tried.

Capt. Jesse and Eddie were fantastic. They not only know where the fish are but also the right baits to use. We booked a half day charter and wish we would have done a 3/4 or full day. Caught our limit on Blackfin Tuna and got into some dolphin too. They were great with teenagers and the boat is top notch - big, stable, air conditioned and satellite stereo at your service. We will definitely book them again when we visit the Keys!

Our group had a awesome day fishing with capt Jesse and Eddie. One of the guys caught a sailfish right away! We caught a monster king fish, some other fish, and had a blast. We understand it’s called fishing not catching, and we were really happy with our day. We booked a 3/4 day and Capt Jesse worked to find fish right up until the last minute. Very pleased with our experience.

Honestly I was extremely disappointed with this trip. We got there at 6 am for a 3/4 of a day trip. The boat was broken, we waited 5 hours to leave at 11:30. We ended up doing a half day which honestly was fine. The problem I had was only one person could fish at a time and we didn’t fish anything but yellow tail. We came to do more fishing reasons why we were doing 3/4 of a day. He didn’t discount us or anything for this trip when we patiently waited 5 hours for the boat to be fixed. The captain then told us how much each lure cost if one was lost. This is your business do not make me feel like a child when I am paying for the service. I understand things are out of your control but this was ridiculous. We absolutely loved Jeff the first mate but Captain Jesse was completely rude.

We went out with Capt Jesse this week and had a GREAT time! He & his mate knew what they were doing and we caught a ton of Mahi. We were nervous as it was our children’s (5&8 yr old) 1st time deep sea fishing and a long, 6hr boat day for them, but it couldn’t have gone better. The air conditioned galley made a huge difference for children.

We had an AWESOME fishing trip with Capt. Jesse. Knowledgable and entertaining captain and crew. Everyone on the boat caught fish. The conversation, the skill and the teaching by Capt. Jesse and First Mate Chad made the trip 10/10. We recommend the Dog House with the highest possible review.

We booked a 3/4 day trip. I wanted my teenage sons to have a great time. Our priority was to catch some big fish. We went as tourists not as experienced fishermen. We caught a few small yellowfins, one was perhaps 16'. Overall, mate Sam worked hard, put in a fair effort. We experienced how fishing is at the FL Keys, which was interesting. My 16 yo was a good sport and made the best of it to have a good time. I made the choice to enjoy it as much as it was possible. Yet, I could not help feeling greatly disappointed. The vibe was not great. The captain was kind at the end, but I felt he wanted to make sure I would pay although we did not catch much fish. I was told 20% tip was customary and indeed the mate worked hard. I paid 1500 all together with the tip. I certainly understand that luck is involved with fishing. Yet, if catching reasonable sized fish was not accomplished I would probably not take full payment if this was my line of work.
