The Kay K IV was built in 2002. Air conditioned, well maintained and fast, the K KAY IV was customized to maximize fishability and comfort. We can easily handle up to 6 fishermen in the KAY K IV’s huge cockpit with it’s large live bait well. The experienced crew will guide you to and give you instructions on how to catch Mahi , Wahoo, Sailfish, Kingfish, Tuna and more. Do you want to fish the reef for yellowtail snapper, muttons snapper and groupers? We can do that! How about fishing for something different? Deep dropping (300ft to 600ft) for snapper, tilefish, porgies and snowy grouper; just a few of the tasty deepwater fish species that Captain Don has the equipment and the expertise to catch. Concerned about getting seasick or don’t want to get too far out to sea? Try our patch fishing trip. Lots of action, close to shore and in relatively calm water. We have a clean bathroom, comfortable seating and a large fish box. We also have a courteous, professional, and experienced crew that will make your trip truly memorable.

This is our third time with Captain Don and Dave with our summer travels to the Keys. Let me first say that the seas and weather changed for the worse overnight. But, as a group of 6 we all were anxious to fish with Don and Dave so we decided to go for it. Don gave us the chance to... More

Great friends and family activity! Captain Don and Mate Dave made our Florida Trip better than ever! Extremely friendly and simply put, Clean Boat! We felt like Captain Don put us on the head of the fish and Mate Dave made the experience enjoyable as he taught us everything we needed to know as we reeled in the fish. Having... More

Given that this location is billed as the sport fishing capital of the world, I came in with high expectations for catching big fish. Captain Don and mate Dave worked hard to try to make that happen, but the fishing was pretty poor overall. We fished a day and a half. On the full day, we went about 20 miles... More

Captain Don and his mate Dave gave us a great trip, they put us on several schools of MahiMahi and we consistently caught fish. My only complaint was the prominent sign "suggesting" a tip for the mate of 20%, which was $240. Dave did a great job and I would have tipped him well. I think that $240 is a... More

An amazing afternoon - it felt like the fish were coming off a production line! Capt Don clearly knows exactly where the fish will be. He and Dave have all the tactics and tackle sorted and made life incredibly easy for us novices. Dave is a star - working so hard to keep rods prepped and coaching us so well... More

We planned a last minute family trip to the keys. Feel fortunate to have been recommended to Captain Don. Both Captain Don and Dave went above and beyond to create one of the most memorable experiences for us and our 10 year old children. We can't wait to go back!

We were referred to Captain Don by locals years ago and we've been fishing with him 10+ times. Each excursion has been professional and thoroughly enjoyable. Today we had 5 dolphin hit simultaneously and mate, Dave ran around that boat like crazy! I don't know how he kept so many poles in the water while taking all the fish off... More

My older brother has gone fishing with Capt. Don a number of times and highly recommended him. We asked Don what he thought we'd be able to catch. He made a couple of suggestions and we chose mahi-mahi fishing. He and the first mate were very helpful especially since we are not experienced fishermen. Capt. Don put us on fish... More

We had met Captain Don the previous year after eating at Wahoo's. That particular day when all the fishing boats had come in Captain Don was the only Captain that we spoke to that was friendly and easy to talk to. This year when we had mechanical issues with our own boat and had family coming in from out of... More
