The Lobster Trap Art Gallery is a unique gallery full of colorful art from Nadine and Glenn Lahti and other local artists from the Florida Keys. Our artists have created hundreds of original works and our frame shop has constructed thousands of hand built and custom lobster trap frames, made from original lobster trap wood, since 2003. With bright tropical colors and island music playing, come see why this gallery is the epitome of "Island Life". Visit our website to see our online gallery and do more shopping. You don't have to live on the islands to lead the "Island Lifestyle!"

When visiting the Middle Keys make sure you stop here. The shop is full of art, glass, and jewelry made from local artists. There are a lot of sea life pictures and the artist is a snorkeler/diver so they are very realistic and beautiful. It was also nice that the artist where working in the shop so were available to... I was unsure because I'm not as into art as some others, but this place was really cool!. We met one of the owners and found out how they do their art. You can even take in your own photo and they can transfer it to a tile for you! Such a cool place to check out! We had trouble... More

I am not really a fan of tshirt shops or shops packed with random junk made in Polynesia or Taiwan. Sadly this seems to be most of the shops in the Keys. Whenever I go on a trip, I like to buy something nice by local artists that kind of captures the area. This was tough to find in the... More

Really enjoyed all the art displayed from local artists in this shop. Some artwork is even framed using salvage lobster traps. Very temping to spend here. Some items they will even ship for free. Will definitely be back!

There are so many beautiful pieces here. We really loved a lot of the lobster trap frames but the ones we really liked had a lot of barnacles and character, costing more than we wanted to pay. You can actually meet the artists here and they will custom-print any of the artwork they have onto a tile for you. We're... More

I stopped in here looking for a small lobster of some sort to bring home to a friend. I thought it was going to be a typical tourist gift shop. I was pleasantly surprised to find that everything in the gallery was made by local artisans, from painting to photographs and the wonderful picture frames made from reclaimed lobster pots!... More

This place is too much fun to be an art gallery. Be prepared to want to spend money. It is inexpensive but it is really great and the experience is awesome. The owners and staff were quite information and we learned quite a bit.

Stopped in because I love to collect unique art from places I visit and this place was exactly what I had been looking for. It was bright and everything was by a local couple and their friends. The staff there was super informative and fun. We walked out with 2 lovely pieces we can'rt wait to display in our home!!

The artwork is made by locals and it runs along the lines of standard tropical motifs and local iconic images. The frames are very clever as they're made from used lobster traps. There are other local crafts and candies available, too. Staff was extremely friendly. Not my taste in art, but worth a visit and a good place to pick... More
