Thanks to Mitchell, Seeley & Richard, everything ran smoothly during our first kayaking trip in the Keys. The staff was friendly and informative. The equipment was in good condition and easy to use. We are a family of 4 with 2 kids ages 10 & 15, and opted for the two person kayaks. The waters were a bit rough, so... More

My wife and I were in Miami to take care of a family emergency. During the week, we were very busy administrating all the issues that required our attention. However, one day in the middle the week, there was nothing to do but wait until some of our initial efforts were realized. So we decided to take a drive down... More

Fun trip but arranged it one day but rained out. Came back 1 day later and completely different staff who convinced us we needed two jet skis and a different snorkel plan. Trip was great but one snorkel spot & mangroves - not two spots and cost us double what we expected. Not sure if good deal or not and... More

The Kayak Shack is well organized and decently priced. They showed us where to go and what we might see while out there. Great adventure for folks with little to no kayaking experience. This was one of our kids' highlights of our trip. Kayaking through mangroves is BEAUTIFUL!!

We stopped here and were able to rent two kayaks near the end of the day. The staff was very helpful and my family enjoyed following the trail through the mangroves.

We had an awesome time going out to Indian Key. Mitchell gave us geat instructions about how to get there and Seeley was really helpful getting us all set to go out in the two person kayak. Indian key was worth seeing even though it can get quite hot, we snorkled off the other side of the island, but current... More

This is for the kayak shack only, not where we kayaked to. The process of renting the kayak took longer than it should have. A group of individuals came up in the middle of our filling out paperwork and were given priority (because it was a bunch of kids needing to take test to drive jetskis.) Which was fine but... More

Visited The Kayak Shack ( Mile Marker 77.5 ) once again and this time paddled to Indian Key, about 20 minutes to an amazing bit of maritime history. Then we spent a couple of hours in the mangrove channels, scaring up a small shark and a sea turtle. On previous visits, we saw a young manatee and an alligator. The... More
