Stevie was great, full of energy and very helpful. We were disappointed to not be allowed to go to Indian Key due to the increased winds but kayaking the mangroves was quite fun. Mitchell did a great job of instructing us where to go, what to look for, precautions to take with local boat traffic, etc. Justin and the other... More

Steven and Mitchell were helpful and friendly getting my wife and I onto a tandem kayak for a bit of exploring in the mangroves. Despite the proximity to the busy overseas highway, the experience itself was a quick and easy way to get out on the water - which is really what the Keys are all about! We only had... More

I always go to the Keys to go diving, but we hit some bad diving condition weather. We decided to rent some kayaks to check out the mangroves. I called the Kayak Shack to make a reservation, and the man I spoke with (Stevie B.) was very informative and encouraging. The day we went, the kayaks were ready, they gave... More

Had a great experience at the Kayak Shack in Islamorada. Everyone there was super helpful and encouraging, but we were especially impressed by Mitchell and his wonderful attitude. So nice when you see folks who really love their jobs. We did a half day rental because of lack of time, and it was bit windy the day we went, so... More

My husband and I brought our paddleboards and rented a kayak for our adult daughter. Got excellent service and guidance for a full day of both paddling through the mangroves and over to Indian Key. Saw a manatee right in the harbor at lunch and multiple stingrays and sharks (some quite large...7 feet or so) throughout the day. Keep moving... More

This place is part of Robbie's, so we started off here feeding the tarpon, which was super cool. Keep your fish in the bucket until you're about to feed one, or else a pelican will take your bait. After that, we went on the self-guided kayaking tour through the mangroves. The guy who launched us, Mitch, was very helpful and friendly.... More

We did the sunset tour with Mitch. He's fantastic. The bugs were bad. Actually very bad. But if we had put on strong bug spray before we started (and after we used Mitch's half way through) it was awesome. We loved the mangrove tunnels. So unique. Saw a turtle and a crocodile, dozens of amazing birds, fish and jelly fish.... More

PRO's: First, we kayaked 2 the Indian Key Island Park, which was way cool!!! *It took us an hour & a half 2 get there; then, we explored the island park, which was very well kept & well marked. It only took us 20 minutes 2 kayak back 2 the Kayak Shack. Then, we had lunch at the restaurant there... More
