A wonderful experience. Very well managed, one show follows they other and you are not waiting around. Each show was well done.

I've gone to Theatre of the Sea a few times and it has been super chill every time. If you do all the shows, it takes about 2 hours. You get to see a dolphin show, parrot show, sea lion show, and a little boat...More

It was just me and the wife and we had a great time. We stayed about 3 to 4 hours which was enough time to see every show and to browse around some. Everybody was nice and the shows were enjoyable. My wife was able...More

The price was definitely too high for what is about a half day experience. The animal experiences were priced close to double for 30 minutes what a day at Disney or universal will charge for entry for a whole day. They told us if we...More

Theater of the Sea vs Dolphin Research Center Having checked, there are questions similar to this, one from 10 years ago and another inconclusive thread from a couple of years back. So here goes. My question is around the ethics of marine animals in captivity. How can we make an informed decision on which facility to visit? the DRC is "not for profit", and seems more focused on rehabilitation and education. TotS seems more entertainment based...does that make it less progressive in its treatment of the animals? I cant see much difference elsewhere either - maybe TofS is more expensive by $25 for the interactive element? I just want to have my children have an experience I wasn't allowed as a kid - but not at the price of in any way funding their mistreatment (of the dolphins, not the kids :) Thanks, David.
