After looking at a lot of different deep sea fishing trips we decided to go with Seaborn Charters. And we couldn’t be more pleased with the experience we had. It was my husband, sister and her boyfriend. You get to choose where you’d like to fish and choose the reef area. Bryce was our fishing guide and if actually when I come back we will no matter what choose Bryce again. He is a very knowledgeable, PATIENT, kind and funny young man. He always made sure we had bait on our poles and got every fish off our hook quickly. We started the day off catching probably 30-40 yellowtail snappers. He measured them all and we ended up keeping 21 of them. We also caught a couple of burnita (?) fish. They were a fun fight and so beautiful. Bryce knew we wanted to try and catch a shark, grouper or something large so after we knew we had enough fish to cook up we through out the big dog and guess what we caught and reeled in a 400lb 10ft hammerhead shark!!! It took a little over an hour to reel it in. The guys took turns fighting this shark. We got it up to the boat and got all our pictures and videos then cut the line to let it go.
When we got back to the dock Bryce filleted and de boned all the snappers and bag it up for us. He recommended a place called Scooner Warf Bar and WOW it was the best tasting fish we seriously ever had. They grilled it and pan fried it and gave us sides of rice, beans, fresh veggies, French fries and coleslaw to go with it. The fish fed 6 of us. I highly, highly recommended using this charter with anything you would like to do in Keywest. They do all different trips like snorkeling, sightseeing, all day fishing etc. Enjoy your time! We will be back.

I took my 18 yo son, his buddy and my girlfriend on a 4 hour afternoon charter with Capt Mike fishing the reef. We caught blackfin tuna, cobia and yellowtail. The 32 ft contender we were on was perfect for our size group, I highly recommend Seabourne for a great fishing experience.

Great trip, no complaints, exceeded expectations. Overall it was one of the easiest charter trips I have ever booked. Everything from getting questions answered, communicating with Capt. Jason, deposit and scheduling, and catching fish was perfect. When I was researching charters I was looking for a reputable boat operator with recent, good reviews. I also wanted something that was close to the historic district, was flexible and, most important, was extremely accommodating. Seaborn met these requirements and ended up exceeding my expectations. We booked for 4, added a 5th at the boat and fished spots that were good for a group that had some folks that didn't have much experience on the water.
Once we were done our charter Capt. Mike, cleaned, bagged and recommended a few spots to go enjoy our catch. We ended up picking the Boathouse but any spot on the waterfront is probably just as good as any other. In the end eating our fish was just as enjoyable as the trip and was probably our best meal during the stay.
Some additional comments to counter the negative feedback. The Seaborn is a fishing boat, I saw no issues with the safety, outfitting or equipment on the boat. It's also a very accommodating center console which is typical for FL charters. We fueled when we left the slip, this was a concern for me after reading the review, at most this took 15 minutes and did not negatively affect the trip. We caught more than enough fish and the capt. gave us options to try some deep water spots, live baiting and trolling based upon the preferences of our party. I've fished a fair number of charters in FL, some of my best and worse trips have been in FL including Key West, this was a good one, and a great one for the group I was with. Seaborn will be my first choice for my next Key West trip.

I have given the owner 6 weeks to issue a partial refund. He has chosen not to reply so now I will pass on my experience for others to learn from.
1-Captain Mike had zero personality. I only know his name because the owner texted it to me before the trip. He didn’t care to ask ours. We tried to make conversation but he wanted none of it. Even my teenage sons who would rather fish in peace were wigged out by his rude behavior.
2-Lack of personality aside this is why I requested a partial refund: We left the dock promptly at 8am and THEN went to gas up the boat and get ice for 20 min. 20 min of a 4 hour, $700 charter. 20 minutes of watching Capt Mike shoot the breeze with the attendant. That really set the tone for the day.

My husband and I went out with Captain Jason. He was very professional, personable and accommodating. He taught this lady how to bait a hook and did whatever it took to find the fish. We sure did. Many yellowtail, a king fish and a 50lb wahoo. He cleaned and butterflied it expertly. Grilled the wahoo about 4 hours after he was swimming in the ocean. Delicious marinated in lemon, olive oil, diced red onions and parsley.

Captain Bryce was awesome! He knew where to go so we could catch a variety of fish to take back to eat. He was so incredibly patient with both kids helping them with everything. The boat was well maintained and it was a great day out fishing. When we got back Captain Bryce prepped and bagged all the fish for us and gave us restaurant suggestions and cooking ideas for all of our fish. Would definitely recommend Seaborn to everyone!

We went with captain Bryce who knew exactly where to go to catch the fish! We did exactly what we wanted to which was catch fish so that we could cook on our vacation. The boat was well kept and when we arrived back at the dock the fish was cut, cleaned and put into bags for us. All around a great experience.

My husband and I booked a private charter with Seaborn and Captain Troy. It was a great experience and will definitely use them again. We were there to lobster and Captain Troy made sure we went home with our dinner. It was epic. He made sure we enjoyed ourselves and saw all kinds of different areas of the beautiful water with wildlife, snorkeling, a sandbar and anything we wanted to experience. We had called a lot of different charter companies and Seaborn was one of the only ones to call us back. Their price was extremely reasonable and they had great follow up and confirmation so we felt comfortable it was all taken care of. Thank you so much and make sure to book Seaborn!!

Captan Jason was amazing! He was very knowledgeable about ocean life and The key west Island. He took his time with us and answered all our questions..and we had a lot! I also think captain Jason may have an in with the fish because we caught a lot of them , including a lemon shark. I would highly recommend Seaborn charters!!! We had the experience of a life time.

What a great experience with Captain Troy! Each of the 3 of us caught our quota of snappers almost right away and then off we went out further for tuna. My husband always dreamed of catching a tuna but never had. When Captain Troy heard that, he was determined we'd get one. He stayed out beyond the time we were to end the trip so that we could follow the sunset tuna run. We caught 4 TUNA!!!! How great! Back at the dock, he fileted our snappers & 1 tuna which we brought to Schooners Wharf Restaurant to be cooked for us. We gave the other 3 tuna to the Captain.
We felt very safe with Captain Troy. He was professional & very pleasant. It was clear he knew his business & enjoyed it. You won't go wrong with this company & with Captain Troy!

Thinking of coming to KW. 2 Pre-elderly Kentuckians who have fished quite a lot on lakes, rivers and ponds, but hardly any in salt water. Just want to catch fish and enjoy the experience. Maybe Thursday & Friday 1/18 & 19 - 6-8 hrs each day. Would share a fishing trip with others.
