Took this trip for a second time (last was a year ago) with different, but very helpful crew. The Captain, Brian, is a real sailor and a good host. We had great weather and good group of guests. Most people also snorkeled and kayaked, but...More

We had a great time at the morning half day trip. The snorkeling is not anything too exciting and you would not see those Caribbean colorful fish you would think if that is what you expect, but it is definitely something different and cool to...More

Informative boat ride that included kayaking & snorkeling. Drinks & Food were provided. Food was more for making sandwiches, nothing too fancy. Had a great time.

My party of four took the Wind & Wine Sunset Sail on a beautiful Tuesday evening. The crew was courteous, accommodating, entertaining, and professional. The wine selection was good as were the food/appetizers. Although water was available, you had to request it. Making it more...More

Wonderful, relaxing afternoon of sailing, snorkeling and kayaking, that was finished off with a beautiful sunset view from the boat. The crew was very professional, and so personable. They are very knowledgeable about the area and wildlife, too. Highly recommend this company!

Despite the clouds rolling in and blocking our sunset view, we had an amazing time! The crew was absolutely fantastic and made the trip a perfect end to our first day in Key West. The wine and beer selection were great and the crew was...More

While our weather was not 100% ideal, the exceptional captain and first mate (Janet and Molly) made this excursion a really good experience. Friendly, knowledgeable, and capable. The boat, the gear, and the equipment were well maintained and comfortable. Kayaking and snorkeling were both enjoyable....More

Great trip! We sailed out to a mangrove island and kayaked around while learning about mangroves and the ecosystem. Then we went to a snorkeling spot and had fun playing around. Everyone was super nice, and very helpful. Would definitely recommend, and would do again!...More

I did have a small dry bag to hold my camera for the kayaking portion of the tour. I am sorry I don’t know what a dry snorkel is, but I was happy with the gear they supplied. I would bring some kind of a sun protection... More

Check the website. We have only been on the sunset cruise, so don’t know about the afternoon cruise. The Danger Charters boats go out from the harbor across from the Margaritaville Resort. It is a medium distance walk to the... More

Schooner sunset sail question (2 Replies)
Hello all! We arrive next week and would like to do a sunset sail. I think we’d like a schooner for this as we are going to do the Island Ting on a catamaran. Anyway, deciding between Danger Charters Wind and Wine (a little more $) or Sebago Appledore Champagne Sunset Sail. Any strong preferences for one over the other? Thanks in advance!

Higgs Beach (17 Replies)
Hubby and I love to snorkel when in the FL Keys. We've done tours (Sebago and Danger Charters), Dry Tortugas and Bahia Honda (off shore as we haven't been able to go on a tour to Looe Key because our scheduled trip for the past 2 years always got cancelled due to strong/high waves). I have been reading about off shore snorkeling from Fort Zachary and Higgs Beach. Where exactly in Fort Zachary? We've tried there several times with no luck. We haven't tried Higgs Beach because we were...More

We didn't go swimming at Higgs, but the water looked beautiful from the beach last weekend. We took a few pictures there and rode by there on the scooter several times. Most times, there were several people in the water.

which snorkeling charter? large or smaller charter? (5 Replies)
We are traveling in a few weeks and I've done some research but am still undecided. Is the snorkeling better out at the reef, or is it the same just about anywhere? I ask because I like the idea of a smaller boat like Danger Charters, but I don't think they go the reef. So I'm wondering if we should go with one of the larger boats like Fury/Sebago, that do go to the reef. I have it my head that we "should" go to the reef and have just confused myself by overthinking this!! TIA.

do you think I can wait to book with them when I get down there? or do you recommend reservation because they limit the amount of people they take? thanks for the suggestion - just what I was looking for!
