Our guide Lynn was wonderful! Because of Covid-19 Sloan’s is giving private walking tours only. Lynn was very flexible and accommodating. Our daughter is a believer in the paranormal and there were many opportunities to channel energy from the other side. I’m a skeptic but the tour was still a fantastic way to learn about the history and architecture of Old Town Key West. I’ve been to Key West several times and hadn’t seen or heard about much of what Lynn taught us during the tour. It was also nice to learn the history behind some of the structures that we’ve passed so many times and didn’t know anything about.

Absolutely love this tour. It’s real and true. We do it every year and love it. Michael and Kevin are so amazing! There’s no falseness with this tour and if you’re a sceptic then you need to do this tour as it will change your mind. If you feel nothing on this tour then there is something wrong with you! There were such strong presence feelings in certain places but all throughout the tour you can feel the audience that you can’t see 👻 would highly, highly recommend this tour as a must whilst visiting the amazing Key West!

We were very excited about this tour. The tour got good reviews and was highlighted as the 1st and best in Key West. We consider ourselves avid ghost tour takers, from Alaska to New Orleans and Europe and so on, so this review, I would think, has some sort of credibility. This was the first tour taken where we left feeling extremely disappointed. First off, the tour claimed to be 90 mins long. This tour ran 2 hours and 20min. Which normally would have been awesome if it was fulfilling but the last hour we were out in the rain, cold and bored. It was an exhausting tour. Secondly, the group started with 10 of us and by the last hour there were 4. NEVER has that happened on any tour previous. Here’s where we believe the tour fell short: The tour guide. While “Tortuga Jack” was a sweet and interesting man, he just isn’t fit for the job as a guide. Right off the bat, his stories meandered, seeming too long and irrelevant. He managed to tie in a “ghost story” to only 2 or 3 of the sight stops. The guide needed more concise stories. Stories that are gripping and connect quickly. Seriously, the man lost my attention after our first stop. I could tell our group was very eager and interested in the beginning and slowly everyone became disengaged, either checking out mentally or physically dropping off the tour. We ended in a art gallery on the third floor, looking at pictures of sunsets. I don’t know what this had to do with Ghost Hunting at all. I left irritated, exhausted and angry.

I had high expectations for the tour but I was let down. The tour started off in a busy area just off Duval street and due to the variety of parties and live music we were barely able to hear our tour guide for the first 1 hour of the tour and missed out on the area lore. The use of the ghost hunting equipment was a bit gimmicky and nothing detected any spirits in our group. It is an overly long tour in my opinion and multiple people from our group left part way through. May make a better tour if it were a bit quicker, more interesting information about local haunts, and less time spent with the ghost hunting equipment. I believe a quick overview of the equipment and how it is used would be more interesting then at the end of the tour stop at the most haunted place and those that are interested can use the equipment at that time.

SKIP, not worth the time or money. We saw the many stars and thought it would be a fun unique experience. We knew going in that it would most likely be a historical type activity with storytelling, but it was incredibly dull. We were only allowed to go in one building at the end, and it wasn’t even the original old building but a newer building with some old wooden chairs. Many people in our group ended up leaving early. If this tour allowed us to explore the site we visited and if the storytelling was better, then the tour would have been worth the $30. In order to go up to the Widows tower, which is a site we visited outside briefly, you have to go back during the day at another time. Lastly, when none of the ghost detecting gadgets were giving any response, the tour guide blamed it on the fact that the ghost didn’t like women? It was incredibly weird and unprofessional. My sister fell asleep multiple times.
