After reading all the reviews and being in Key West a number times and never going there, I was pleasantly surprised. I never saw so many butterflies in one location in my life. It's deceiving from the street, when you walk into the store, you don't realize the size of the environmentally controlled conservatory. It's something you don't want to... More

The quote above was my companion's as she stood there like Cinderella or Snow White with a dozen large, beautiful butterflies fluttering around her. I'd say this is a must-see if you have not been to a place like it. I can't compare to other butterfly conservatories. It packs an amazing experience into a very small space. You have to... More

This is a small venue, so when it's crowded it's a very different experience. I went twice in one day. The first time, early in the day, the place was packed with butterflies and people. The second time was late in the day. Some of the butterflies were taking to the trees by then, but kids weren't squealing.

As soon as I walked into the conservatory I thought, "If this is heaven, then I'll be good!" Beautiful place and lots of butterflies! One landed on my back and it was overall a beautiful experience!

We live here, but have guests often. We have been at least three times, but now we just drop our guests off. It is a small place to visit, and it has a gift shop. You can take some awesome photos. DO NOT SWAT THE BUTTERFLIES when they land on you. (I have seen people do that!!) Make sure to... More

This is a great spot to be up close with birds, including 2 flamingos, butterflies, and turtles. Bring your camera, you can get some really good pictures! I would suggest getting there early, it's self paced, but if it's crowded you can get pushed around. It's a big stop for a lot of the cruise ship passengers. It's really reasonably... More

We loved the butterfly conservatory. Very family friendly! There were so many butterflies, and we even got to see them in all stages of life. A must see in Key West!

This was a nice place to visit but don't think it deserves its number 1 status on Tripadvisor. It is small and a short experience. The birds, butterflies and turtles are all lovely. Perhaps it's a better experience for people with young children who view it as an enchanted garden

I really liked it but arrived at 4 pm. that is when the butterflies start to go to sleep so go early in the morning. There was plenty still to see with all the other birds and butterflies that had not gone to sleep. for those that were asleep i had to just look closely for them and then take... More
