This was an excellent play written by Ken Ludwig (look him up). The actors were excellent and the dialogue was stunning. So many liens delivered beautifully and while one was speaking, the other was reacting. Great timing and delivered with passion. Play has an option to go to Broadway so see it here. Plays through January 14. If other plays are of the same quality, this theater is not to be missed.

    Very nice small venue
We went to see Life Sucks and it was simply amazing! We have been to Key West many times and never knew that this place existed. This is a small quaint venue and the actors and actresses were very good. I would definitely go back and see a play there again.

Many review the show they saw - but the theater is a gem.
I, my wife, and our 18 and 13 year old enjoyed the wild ride of the fun one-man show Buyer & Cellar. The theater is right in the midst of crazy town Duval - literally behind the Hard Rock...but the theater is a quiet oasis somehow. The out door seating area is where you wait. The bar is stocked with inexpensive top shelf drinks - Totally worth having a drink, a seat and enjoying the break from Duval before going into the small theater. There is NOT a bad seat in the house. It is only about 8 rows deep with 6 or 7 seats on each side of the aisle. Each row going back is on a riser gives the perfect view to the stage. I felt like I lucked onto a little off broadway theater moment in a funky, rustic, and perfect venue for KW.

My wife and I enjoy plays and have not been disappointing in the ones we have seen there during the last 2 years. The theater is small (only holds less than 100 people) but the productions are professionally put on and acting superb. We think the ticket prices are reasonable and will definitely go there again.

Great quaint theatre. It is located on Duval, and you walk down a driveway to get to it which makes the location seem magically removed from the busy street. As a matter of fact, I walked by it twice before I finally saw the sign for the theatre. Going to an evening show was very pretty as the venue was lit by strings of lights. There was a small bar with tables for drinks and it was very refreshing to partake during the intermission. We sat in the front row, but I don't think there was a bad seat because the theatre was small and intimate.

We bought the "dinner and a show package" deal which I do not recommend. Skip the dinner at the Pier House and go anywhere else in town before the show. (Pier House reviewed also) Now the show-Fabulous!! We saw Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike. Each and every actor was great! My husband and I could not pick our favorite because each character (and they were ALL characters) were funny and well-acted.

Recap: Package deal dinner not so good (Skip It!) but the show and actors were amazing (Definitely Go!) We enjoyed our evening out!!

Saw Oklahoma Smith...and enjoyed a very entertaining performance in a comfortable and intimate location. Just down a driveway off Duval next to the Hard Rock. Definitely worth the price of admission. Will place on the top of our list for our next visit to K.W.

My wife and I attended the play Picasso at the Lapin Agile at the Red Barn Theater in January 2017. We weren't expecting much for our tickets and we were very pleasantly surprised! This was as professional a production as I have ever seen. The acting was wonderful, the script funny and fast-paced, and the production values far exceeded what I could hope to expect from an 88-seat theater production. I was "lost" during the play and immersed in it. I highly recommend this theater presentation and the theater company to others. Buy a ticket, get a cozy seat very close to the action (they are ALL close to the action) and expect to be dazzled! This is a great entertainment value.

Always a good experience, even given that I like some plays way more than others. Actors and Red Barn folks in general work very hard to make for engaging evening of entertainment.

We just saw Buyer and Cellar - which was great! Nick Cearley was fantastic in this one man show. We always try to see a show here when in KW - it is an intimate theater and we have seen several good shows. This was the best so far!

It was a very small venue so there was really no bad seats. We saw "Lets get Lost" The actors were wonderful however this is something that would be more appreciated by an older crowd. I am attaching a youtube link so you can see parts of the show.

We are regular visitors to Key West and always take in some local theatre mainly at the Red Barn Theatre and Waterfront Playhouse. We enjoy attending the Red Barn and have spent many an enjoyable night there. We usually take advantage of the dinner/show package which is only $20 more per person, which includes beverage, entrée, tip and taxes. Past years the dinner was at The Pier House and was excellent value and a fabulous meal. However this year the Red Barn is using the Hard Rock Café. We were not expecting the same calibre of meal as previously enjoyed at the Pier House. Hard Rock is mainly "pub grub". The meal at the Hard rock Café was horrible!! There is absolutely no excuse for serving cold food. The burgers were pre cooked and were dry and cold. The hamburger buns were not toasted. Overall the meal was a huge disappointment. I would suggest if the Red Barn is still using the Hard Rock Café for their dinner package just purchase the theatre ticket and dine somewhere else. I truly hope that the Red Barn Theatre re considers using this venue in the future. There are many good restaurants in Key West and they don't need to be using Hard Rock Café.

Over the course of many trips to Key West, we've almost always taken time to catch at least one performance at The Red Barn. In fact, I've used this experience as an eliminator for relationships. If she's "just not interested in the theater" or simply doesn't want to "waste time tonight inside watching actors", I'll never bring her back to the Keys again. Over the decades, this stage has presented many varied and challenging productions, and I've never seen a bed one. Walking out after an evenings entertainment at the Red Barn, headed for any one of many still open drinking establishments, always leaves one with a feeling of completing the Key West experience. Please don't fail to experience it next visit.

Tiny theater, sold-out performance, terrific staff, amazingly talented troupe and a great play (2013 Tony Award winner) combined to make this night out special. First-rate.
