Bar is entirely open air with big fans blowing, so a good place to catch a reprieve from the heat on Duval St. Drinks are cheap - 2 for $8 margaritas everyday - bring a friend (or don’t). Doesn’t serve any food so don’t plan to stop here for more than booze. There is always live music which adds to the atmosphere. When I visited, the bartender Anastasia seemed really frazzled and stressed out despite it not being particularly slammed (it was around 330/4pm). All in all, a classic Key West joint to check out.

This has multiple levels and good selection on spirits most the staff was helpful even for as many tourist they experience. Like any where else you always have on bad apple but didn't let it spoil our fun. Bottom floor has live music , mid floor has good bar and some pool tables/darts and a good bar The main attraction is the top floor for the nudity. There is a cover charge to go up and experience but you get what you pay for so don't expect Vegas style dancers., go in with an open mind and if you dare open eyes.

I didn't know what to expect when my group popped into here. It is a big place, with multiple level. Don't venture to the top floor (3rd) if you are not an open minded person looking for an adventure. Clothes optional and dancing under the stars are what I would describe it. It's a fun time, just know to expect that. I did not. Once I got past that, I had a great time with fun dancing music and fun people watching. That level is very diligent about no phones out, so the bouncers will correct you quick, even if you are just texting. The 2nd floor is tame so no worries there. Typical bar with a balcony. Good unique time in Key West. A must stop with no cover charge.

I am a local and have had many great experiences at the whistle bar in the past but haven’t been since this incident hat happened a few months ago. My boyfriend and I waited for 20+ minutes to order and finally got a corona and bud light. The bartender (female) told us that it was cash only which I didn’t remember whistle bar being in the past. We didn’t have enough cash to cover both drinks so we asked if we could pay for the corona which was opened and return the bud light which was unopened. She refused saying that since she rang it into the system this wasn’t possible.. I have worked as a server before and know that this isn’t true. She was extremely rude and I do not like confrontation so we ended up paying way more for the corona than what was necessary. I hate that I have to write this review which is why it has taken me months to do so but I feel like this bartender was so rude that it is necessary.

We stopped in here, based on recommendations, sat at the uncrowded, open air bar and ordered bloody Mary's. Excellent drink and a very nice server, who put quite a bit of produce on top. The wall murals were great and highlighted some of the key West notables, including one of a pink Cadillac with JFK driving Kruschev (sp) and Castro. We enjoyed our stop there very much.

This is one of the funnest bars we've ever been to. This was our second time to Key West, and we wanted to share this fun bar with a friend of ours who had never been. We mainly have stayed on the first floor near the open-air windows (browsed the second floor) and just enjoyed the live band and people watched everyone walking up and down Duval. If you want a balcony view, head up to the second level. If you want clothing optional, head up to the third floor. Drinks are tasty and reasonably priced here considering where you are drinking, and staff are all amazing. We will always plan a stop here while in the area.

The Whistle Bar has great balcony views of Duval street. Get yourself a double (happy hour noon to 9 pm), sit outside, people watch, and enjoy the live music nearby. We came here multiple times during our short trip to Key West and it won’t be our last time!

While my small group walked along Duval taking in the sights, we heard some lively live music from this establishment. We decided to go in and have a quick brew. The place was full for an afternoon. We sat for a good 45 minutes. No rush. We attempted to obtain cocktails. No go. Primarily beers and straight alcohol.

Faded murals, beer in plastic cups, and no table service. Live music and huge open air windows to let you watch Duval Street swim by. You could spend a whole day here and not go broke.

Cool vibe, strong pours, awesome staff, and the best people watching in town. If laughter was a workout, my husband and I would both have 6-pack abs after spending a few hours sitting out on the balcony at the Whistle, watching the weird and wonderful mayhem that is Key West go by below us. Make it a point to stop here--the Bull downstairs often has live music, the Whistle on floor 2 is a super chill fun place, and the top floor Garden of Eden is clothing optional and always a fun time if you're into that!
