We spent many hours and days here with our dog. The sand at the water is mostly rocks, shoes are advised! The rest of the sand is very soft. The water is very clear. There aren't any waves unless a boat goes by. While we were swimming, we saw lots of colorful fish and two manatees!! They were only about... More

Stumbled on this little place looking for something else. Ended up staying and enjoying. It's wrapped up in the marina and could be easily overlooked. But stop by, have a beer and relax.

As we were looking for South beach at the end of Duval, we ended up at the end of Simonton and feasted our eyes on the tiniest beach I have ever seen. All chairs are for rent, so there is no spot to put your own chair or even a towel for that matter. There is a café, I am... More

Went to Lagerheads cafe/beach bar for a bite to eat and to look out over the water. Didn't realize this area is actually a public beach. It's about 100 feet long and had quite a bit of sea grass on shore. I thought it belonged to the bar, but apparently it's an actual public beach. Very, very small and no... More

This is on the Sunset side of Key West, away from all other beaches, but it was tiny, confined, no vibe. If you want a beach go to the other side of the island, a short trip and there are better options.

Small beach at the end of Simonton. You can rent chairs and umbrella at Lagerheads, the cafe at the beach. $10 per chair. Lagerheads has great food and decent selection of beers. The water is fairly shallow off the beach. I snorkeled and saw a stingray and other fish. The safe zone is enclosed by a rope. There is a... More

Beautiful little beach. Spent the day lounging on a chair watching the boats. Very small area so I'm glad we listened to reviews that said to get there early for a chair. We got there around 9am and had our pick of chairs. By 11 the place was packed! The chair rentals were a little expensive at $10 each but... More

The Simonton Street Beach is a great place to chill out and relax after you have hit Duval Street and seen some of the Key West attractions. It's small but beautiful!

Great small beach about 2 blocks from our hotel - get here before noon to get a chaise lounge for $10. Good beer and frozen beverage selection - delicious frozen margarita! Good crab cake sandwich, conch ceviche and fish tacos (come with a pickle spear and a yummy chocolate chip cookie). Ice cream, chips, skittles, and fresh coconut milk. Live... More

Simonton Street Beach is a wonderful, beautiful small beach at the end of Simonton Street. We visit there very often. They put out free chairs and tables.
