Small but fun

Tiny beach with seating, live music, cornhole and good sand. If you're looking for something easy/low key, this is the way to go. Not adequate if you want the full beach... read more

The Simonton Street Beach was recommended by the hotel staff, and I had a terrific time there. The beach is run by the folks who have the sports bar on the property & they could not be nicer. People brought their own blankets, or sat in chairs. You can rent a lounge for $10, also. Great view, restful beach. Quite... More

When you first pull up it doesnt look like much. But you know when visiting the island there are not a lot of places for sandy beach areas. This is a good place to sit and relax and swim for the day. You will encounter a lot of cruisers coming from the port. But always entertaining.

This little beach next to the Pier House has a nice sandy beach - complete with chair and umbrella rentals. There is Lagerhead Beach Bar where you can get tacos and beer. Sometimes live music too. The other side of the beach /pier is a boat ramp and good place to take dogs for a swim. This is a good... More

Nice beach shade trees and benches on site. There is also a small store for misc stuff to buy. Need flip flops to avoid the sharp rocks on the beach.

We spent many hours and days here with our dog. The sand at the water is mostly rocks, shoes are advised! The rest of the sand is very soft. The water is very clear. There aren't any waves unless a boat goes by. While we were swimming, we saw lots of colorful fish and two manatees!! They were only about... More

Stumbled on this little place looking for something else. Ended up staying and enjoying. It's wrapped up in the marina and could be easily overlooked. But stop by, have a beer and relax.

As we were looking for South beach at the end of Duval, we ended up at the end of Simonton and feasted our eyes on the tiniest beach I have ever seen. All chairs are for rent, so there is no spot to put your own chair or even a towel for that matter. There is a café, I am... More

Went to Lagerheads cafe/beach bar for a bite to eat and to look out over the water. Didn't realize this area is actually a public beach. It's about 100 feet long and had quite a bit of sea grass on shore. I thought it belonged to the bar, but apparently it's an actual public beach. Very, very small and no... More
