Why isn’t it a spa? There is not a relaxation room, locker room, or even bathrooms or changing rooms! They sign you in at the regular hotel registration, then take you to a tiny room. Hopefully you’ve already used the one-seat bathroom that is outside and also for the use of everyone at the pool. My massage was actually good, but my facial aesthetician spent 10 minutes steaming my face without touching me and another five minutes washing dishes. Nowhere near worth what I paid for.

My husband and I had a couples massage for Valentine’s Day. I had a hot stone for the first time and he had a deep tissue. We both had great experiences! Hot stone is hot! And very relaxing. We both thought it was a bit of a splurge but worth it. Especially considering they let you hang out at the resort afterward. That place is gorgeous and everyone was friendly. Great experience overall and food and drinks at bar were great as well. Mikayla took great care of us!

My sister lives a very stressful life, so for her birthday we decided to try and get her a spa package. My mother called amd was transferred to the spa and asked how much the packages cost. The lady said she couldn't understand her, so my mom repeated her question. The lady told her to wait two mins. After waiting more than two mins she hung up on her. So my mom called again, same lady answered, same thing happened. She decided to call security to see what was going on. No one picked up the phone. Its scary makes you wonder if you were in trouble and called them for help no one would answer you at all. Needless to say we called a competitor who was nice and more then willing to give the info we needed. I would never stay at a hotel or use there services if they are rude on the phone, who knows how they are if you stayed there in person. Highly do not recommend this rude place to anyone. It only takes a few people to ruin a hotels reputation like the Hyatt. I received a previous notice from the Hyatt stating that they spoke with the team member and she told them that she had repeatedly apologized to my mother, which never happened. Not once did she apologize. She also stated that the phone kept cutting off as she went to get a new team member to help my mother out and said it was probably a cultural thing since we are hispanics. 1) the phone never cut off it was clear with no static, she told my mom to wait on the phone and never came back 2) my mother called again and even began to ask her not to put her on hold again which she did before my mother could finish speaking. 3) Key West is full of Cubans as well others who are hispanics so the theory that its just cultural is not true and is also slightly insulting since Miami and the keys are filled with people from different cultures. My boyfriend is from Missouri, pure American as they come if he can understand my mother and before that he never spoke to a hispanic with a accent then I believe anyone can.

My best client mentioned he was going to Key west just after the biggest deal of my life. I searched for a full service spa down there and found this one. Two weeks in advance I booked 2 full day packages, lunch, cocktails, etc for my client and his wife. The concierge assured me that they would take great care of my client. Needless to say my client's wife was thrilled at the prospect. So they show up at 8:45am on Monday 14th of April only to be told that someone called in sick and that they would have to reschedule their spa day. I was never notified. They made absolutely NO effort to book them into another spa. They just dropped the ball entirely. Totally unprofessional! I tried calling Joel Bundy, the general manager there but was shuffled off to someone else's voice mail. I wasted my time. My client and his wife wasted their time. If you don't want to waste your time then go somewhere else!

I wanted to let this go as a bad massage and not rag on it because I am also a practitioner.
But the soft tissue of my left shoulder is significantly messed up a week later. The therapist yanked on it really hard, not once but twice I have no idea why. My arms weren’t in pain before the massage. I asked her especially to work on my legs but since there was no intake form I guess she forgot because she didn’t touch ANYTHING from my waist to my ankles.
She leaned on me uncomfortably w one hand while massaging me randomly elsewhere any moment she actually touched me. Otherwise she was preparing some tepid goo to rub on my feet during the massage or washing her hands 5 TIMES.
If I hadn’t shared a class w her I would think she’s untrained or on drugs, there was absolutely no awareness of anatomy

We had been to Jala Spa on a previous trip and decided to trie another spa on this trip but came back to Jala after one session. Rachel and Jaylene are wonderful therapists and do a great job in adjusting pressure as needed. The are for the couples massages includes a huge shower with steam and only adds to the relaxation. They ran a special this month where if you came back to the Spa after your first visit, they gave you $30 off the next visit. Needless to say, we've used it 3 additional times on this trip. We stay on our boat at the Galleon marina while in Key West and the Jala is a short walk across the parking lot at the Hyatt for our appointment.

I signed up for a deep tissue massage and a facial. I especially enjoyed the facial. Would return to spa on our next visit.

My wife and I had excellent massages today 10/09/15 at the Jala Spa at the Hyatt in Key West. My wife had a 60 minute Swedish Massage with Cheryl and I had a 60 minute Deep Tissue Massage with Rachel. We have bi weekly massages at home and always when we are away on vacation. Today's massages were superb.

I had book a massage for myself and a friend traveling with our group over a month prior to our visit. Unfortunately, one of the massage therapist could not keep my appointment so I chose a facial instead. Courtney performed my facial and it was a great experience. I enjoyed her knowledge of the area and tips on the local attractions. Overall, even though I didn't get the massage I booked, it was a good experience. The room was spacious and clean, I didn't see any of the issues the other reviewers noted.
