Key West is big on sunsets, and I have seen a few. But nothing beats the sunset sail we took aboard The Jolly Rover. My first sailing experience and it was fabulous! Two hours on the high seas, reasonably priced, with a knowledgeable and experienced captain and fun crew, and even a little cannon to shoot at other ships (blanks of course)! It was a great time and the highlight of our trip.

This is an unbelievable experience! You tour the entire house where Pres. Truman worked from for a great number of days. No matter what your political preference is, this an experience not to be missed!

My mother always said no Atlantic Ocean swimming in months without an R: we stopped swimming in September and returned to the beach in May. Our favorite beach was Varadero, in Cuba. So the beaches in Isla Morada and Marathon that we visited this week are full of jellyfish.my grandaughter got a rash... Signs are up. Beware !!!

We stayed in key west in late April 2014 at the tale end of our Disney world trip. The drive to the keys is very beautiful. Key west is for the bar and restaurant crowd. The beaches were a big disappointment. We went snorkeling and beware of windy days. The snorkeling is in the wide open ocean and not in a cove. It gets very choppy out there and half the boat got sick. The snorkeling is fair at best. No comparison to somewhere like Belize. If you like the bar scene and lots of beach/tshirt shops this is the place for you. They do have some beautiful art shops at the far end of Duvall street.
