We spent our 25th anniversary with Captain Rick and Miranda on the 2 day trip aboard the Tortuga. From the minute we stepped aboard, they made us feel like part of the family as opposed to just clients. They planned the perfect trip for us...More
What a fun trip! Captain Rick and Danica were fantastic with making sure I was comfortable (I get seasick sometimes). I got to see sharks, many fish, pelicans, and lobsters. We snorkeled and rode out on dinghy to a sandbar. A great Florida memory!More

Huge thanks to Captain Rick, Cindy Lou and our first mate/chef Miranda for making my girlfriend’s landmark birthday one we’ll always remember. Perfect trip with full sails all the way to the Marquesas Keys, complete with schools of dolphins, a sea turtle and manatee sighting,...More

The Dry Tortugas National Park rangers highly frown on this practice and it is typically only allowed in situations where a visitors health, safety or weather conditions prohibits a return journey back to Key West from the craft that the visitor arrived on.
For a non-emergency, a visitor would l need to coordinate a round trip sail/motor on the vessel as well as on the sea plane. Keep in mind that the craft you arrived at the fort will still need to return to Key West and the sea plane will be carrying one less passenger to the fort so that you can hitch a return ride. Crew, fuel and time is not lessened because you jumped ship or plane. You will likely pay the round trip cost for both plane and watercraft making it cost prohibitive for most.
