We enjoyed a full day with the owners as well as the new owners who are in the final stages for the business training and transfer. It was clear that all involved loved the business and were client focused. Strong Christian families with entrepreneurship backgrounds. We paid extra for private dive master and worked on select diving skills. It was also a good decision since the currents were strong and without strong navigation skills it would be easy to get lost on the reef. We saw moray eels, lionfish, lobsters, queen angelfish, parrot fish, and numerous others. The seas were somewhat rough due to wind so having the large cabin cruiser with full sun coverage, a/c cabin, head, galley, etc made the 2hour journey much more pleasant. With only 8 people on the boat, there was plenty of room. They could refill tanks on the boat so did not have to haul so many tanks. Gear is all Italian made Cressi and good condition.
Checked in at 7:30 am and returned to dock at 6 pm with over 3 hours under water. Long day and tiring but fun.

We just spent 4 days on board with Jeff and Cary, group of 6. The welcome was very smooth, boat was immaculate and fresh cookies were served on board upon arrival. Dive gear was modern and well maintained. We had 2 divers that needed to finish certification, online class must be completed prior to arrival. Cary takes over from there. The PADI certification was done over 4 subsequent dives, all under a close and watchful eye. We spent the next three days moving between dives and waking up at the next dive spot. We elected to pack our own food for the trip which worked extremely well, our crowd is more into the diving than the cuisine experience. Cary and Jeff are both experienced boat captains who will take excellent care of your family. Zero drama and always up for whatever adventure you desire. 5 stars all the way!!!

Disregard any bad or negative reviews!!!! Our group has been Spearfishing the tortuous for over 20 years this was our first trip with Adventure Watersport charters and we loved this one! We did a 4 day live-aboard Spearfishing trip to the Tortuga’s. These guys are the best at what they do!!! Everything was great from start to finish. From excellent communication on the front end, accommodations, food, spearing, even arranging for our fish being cleaned. These guys are a class act! If you are looking for Spearfishing or just a scuba trip this is a must. The best “Game” in town. The owners are making updates/upgrades to the boat as well! You really can’t beat these guys Jeff, Sandra, Kerry, and Missie are all super folks. We are working on our next trip already. We plan to do at least 2 trips with this group next time.

First off, I never leave a bad review , however we (6) of us booked all day fishing trip well in advance (with deposit). 1 couple drove down from Chicago, 1 couple from Stuart, we are local, we were celebrating a BIG Birthday. After reaching out to them several times, we were told everything is a go, the morning before WE reached out again and was told there were engine issues, but no worry, we were put on another boat. great we thought everything was a go, Then several hr later we got the call that that boat was now having engine issues, HUMM, now we are beginning to wonder. then we were told they could keep looking for another boat, at this point after paying for rooms, food and travel, we got our money back, VERY DISAPPOINTING. We were not even offered a discount for another trip, will not recommend this company.

Absolutely a great time with great guys on an absolutely great boat!
We got Louie (16) and Jenna(12) certified as Open Water Divers on the trip. Kerry was great and the kids had a great time. Merry is an awesome instructor and knows how to incorporate lots of fun into the training dives. On some dives, the kids didn't even realize we were doing training skills.
The week went well and the kids even had the opportunity to do a wreck dive and try spearfishing/lobstering after their certification dives were done. They lived it and the ocean now has two new Open Water Divers!
I would highly recommend AWC!

Do NOT book with this company, save yourself the frustration. They will accept your reservation and then decide whether they want to take you. I booked the reservation, paid the deposit, filled out all the paperwork. Last minute, I get an e-mail that says "no thanks." They made up some ridiculous story about the website not working - it worked perfectly. Left us in a lurch, didn't care. Book elsewhere!

The exquisite team of Captin Jeff and Dive Master Kerry offer one of the most unique experiences in Key West, FL. A laid back atmosphere coupled with extensive knowledge of the area means all are in for a great time. They will put you on the fish and you won't regret the hire. By far my favorite part of my current trip to the keys!

This was an amazing experience in Tortugas and Marquesas. We had outstanding conditions and fantastic dives. The Captains' Jack and Dan took very good care of us. Our tanks were always filled, and they always made sure we had everything we needed. The food and drink was over the top. Thanks Kelly Jordaan.

Thanks Heather for the kind words, as we sincerely enjoyed having you all as everyone was fantastic fun and really good divers & hunters...what a bounty! Our Captains do go the extra mile in making sure everyone is well taken care of and happy, as they enjoy these trips and diving as much as you all do; excellence in customer service has always been our motto. Glad to see that you all have already scheduled your 3 day liveaboard Dry Tortugas spearfishing trip with us next year again same time, and looking to also come down for some Marquesas Keys day diving next month!

First time fishing overnight! Capt. Jack and Capt. Dan were both highly qualified and professional! Both Capt's were a pleasure to fish with. Had a blast the entire time! Would highly recommend their services!

Thank you for the wonderful review! We can't tell you how much it means that you took the time to respond from your trip experiences with our crew on your 3 day liveaboard Dry Tortugas fishing trip. The fishing is always awesome out that way, but the old saying holds true, "you gotta know how to fish"; and you all certainly proved that with the evidence of a fantastic fish bounty to take home with you, plus a lifetime of fun memories, and some new fishing friends! Hope to have you all back again later this year for yet another fishing adventure!

If your looking to hunt for that elusive Black grouper or if you are just wanting to do some nice Scuba diving in the keys - this is your outfit. As I diver of 25 years, I have learned that most of the time the staff on the boat makes or breaks the trip. This staff (Jack and Dan) made the trip. They hit that middle ground of rules and safety combined with a layer back Kelly also plays an important role in follow up on e-mail and checking in with us on the day we arrived - thanks and great job Kelly.
Boat - this is good sized boat with an interior cabin to get out of the sun and wind. Back deck is set up for diving. This is a 6 pack operation and plenty of room for 6. The boat is also property prepared for spear fishing or fishing with ice wells for fish. They do not have a camera table on the deck but you can use the tables inside the cabin. I did not see a camera rinse bucket but I am sure they can rig one up.
Staff - Jack and Dan took turns diving with us. We had 3 divers total on the first day (4 dives) and 6 divers total on the second day. You can follow them or you dive on your own with your buddy.
Diving - This outfit is all about spear fishing and catching lobster in season. We were not spear fishing but we did enjoy watching how it was done. Jack taught us how to catch lobster and let us use nets, tickle sticks, and gloves at no cost. If you are against spearing fish (legally of course) or you do not like the idea I believe this outfit to be defenders of the ocean AND taking catch in the proper way. If you've ever eaten grouper or lobster - it came from somewhere. You can giant stride off of the back or back roll and there is a comfortable ladder to come up after your dive. Because of the interior cabin, I think taking a non-diver might be a possibility - check with Kelly. We dove 4 days around Key West including the Vandy (a must do) and 4 days to the Marquesas. The visibility was fair on the first day and started silting up the second day. You should check up your navigation skills in case you find yourself in poor vis.
Cost - We dove Nitrox and we felt the per tank cost was reasonable. We did 4 tanks per day.

Thanks guys for the fabulous review! We had a blast diving with you both days and teaching you the ropes and finer successful skills of lobstering & spearfishing the Marquesas Keys and Key West, & admiring our gorgeous underwater world down here. Our crew certainly loves and takes great pride in what they do with safety being first and foremost, & preserving and respecting the marine life, and we're glad to know that our customers recognize the value in that and appreciate it.
