The Garden Club thing is usually not my cup of tea, but we toured their gardens in an old Civil War fort. Really fun to see all the different plants in an historic setting!!!

We stopped in the Key West Garden Club during a day when we were walking through Key West past the beach. Although relatively small in size, the garden is well kept. There are several shady places to sit and relax while talking a break from...More

This is one of the only free attractions in key west and one of the best. The tropical gardens are great. If you are there on the first Thursday of the month go to the lecture and enjoy some home made goodies

I enjoyed this free garden tour (donations are accepted). The orchids were particularly beautiful. The butterfly garden was interesting and there was a view to the ocean. It is in an old fort with interesting history.

Enjoy tropical and subtropical plants in a historic setting next to Higgs Beach on the Atlantic Ocean. No admission but we did buy some merchandise and made a donation to their efforts. They have as many as 80 volunteers show up on Monday mornings to...More

Snorkeling is nice and shallow from Higgs Beach. You can see tropical fish and possibly lobster. If you venture far from shore, make sure you have a "divers down" flag with you. There are also many snorkel guides available in... More

Beware Preferred Properties Vacation Rentals - Conch Heaven (2 Replies)
Very rarely do I post a negative review but I felt compelled to share my recent experience with Preferred Properties Vacation Rentals in Key West, Fl. My family and I rented Conch Heaven, 621 Caroline Street for a week in May 2016. I was getting married at the Key West Garden Club and we had family visiting from all over the country. It was a very busy week and I chose Preferred Properties because they advertise their rentals as LUXURY accommodations. Their website is plastered with that...More

You should post this as a review of the property. Forum posts soon fade away. I'm disappointed to hear this as I have recommended preferred properties in the past. Sorry to hear about these issues.

Key West Wedding After Party 2013 (6 Replies)
Hello Everyone! I first love reading these forums because they have such great information! My fiancé and I are getting married in Key West October 4, 2013. We are getting married at the Key West Garden Club followed by dinner at Michaels Steakhouse. We have a relatively small group of 12-14 people going (parents included). I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions for what we could do as a group for after dinner to continue the celebration.. We are open to staying at one spot but...More

I also got married at the Key West Garden Club in the little gazebo overlooking the water. Our ceremony was in the morning and what we did as after was lunch at Rooftop Cafe then champagne sunset cruise for our wedding "reception. We also had a total of about 10-12 people in our party. It was awesome! And congrats!!
