My husband and I found Kayak Kings online and we couldn’t be happier with our kayak tour. Our guide, Phil, was courteous, knowledgeable, patient and fun. We went through the mangrove mazes and saw numerous beautiful sea life creatures and scenery. We highly recommend Kayak Kings for all their adventures and tours. The tiki bar and restaurant is an added amenity to check out before or after your activity. Great people. Great fun. Great location.

Bought a Groupon with 25% off coupon, and for 5 of us (2 were under age 5 and free with paying adult) we paid around $70 all-in for the 2 hour tour. Really fun, got to see sharks, jellyfish, fish, crabs, and just missed seeing a manatee. Probably the best thing we did in Key West. Guide was friendly and helpful, people running the "office" were friendly and helpful, all-in-all a great morning and would go back again if we come back to Key West.

Our personal guide was Phil, his knowledge of the eco system and the wildlife was very informative. Phil was kind , respectful, aid back and ensured our safety throughout the tour. A bucket list item of mine was to kayak with manatees and sharks, I got to check both off the list. The sharks were bull sharks not harmful to humans. We got to paddle through the mangroves. The wildlife we saw was spectacular, even got to safely hold a jelly fish. I highly recommend a tour with kayak kings! After the tour we had lunch at the dock restaurant and the food was fresh made to order, reasonably priced.

This was one of my favorite experiences in Key West! We went over to Stock Island by scooter and found Kayak Kings of Key West. The Kayaks were not expensive to rent for a day trip. We enjoyed the peaceful ride through the mangroves and then ventured up the channel a bit. Would recommend this trip to flat water kayakers and / or those looking to get out of the crowds.

This is the second time we have done this tour with Kayak Kings. This is very reasonably priced. Great attention to detail throughout the entire booking to finish at the dock. I am not a strong swimmer or kayaker but this was a very double tour for someone of any age. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and paid a lot of attention to safety. Navigating the mangrove maze was a HUGE amount of fun. I was the person that got stuck which gave others the chance to snap a few pics or in my case maybe post a funny video on FB or Instagram of the old lady stuck in the trees. All in good fun. DO wear a SPF shirt, do go barefoot, do bring water and a hat and so put your ca t get wet stuff in a plastic bag. They no longer provide dry bags.

Absolutely loved kayaking through the mangroves. There are some areas with low branches that you need to duck down to avoid but the guide will let you know ahead of time. Our 10-year-old took her own kayak and was able to manage it without any problem. We found a Groupon for this tour which was a great deal!! Would Take the tour again myself and would also recommend to others!!

I am so glad I went!

Full disclosure - I wasn’t thrilled to go on this tour. I am generally not interested in water sports. This would be only my second time in a kayak and I was nervous. Two hours is a long time to do something that doesn’t excite you. It turned out to be one of the best experiences of my life.

Kayak Kings is a wonderful operation. We were the only people on the tour and we chose a tandem kayak. Paul, our guide, was absolutely wonderful. He had so much knowledge about the mangroves forests, the other flora and fauna, and Key West in general.

He was exceedingly patient with us as novice kayakers, which was definitely needed. We didn’t see much wildlife due to the cool temperatures and the recent storm, but he searched for us nonetheless. Please don’t blame your guide if the animals are hiding!

Definitely bring water. It can get hot out there and you can work up a sweat. If you forgot to bring some with you, the small shop will sell you bottles at a reasonable price. There are also snacks and other sundries available. They do outings at different times of the day, so choose whatever floats your kayak. They also have other offerings, such as kayak rentals, kayak fishing, and snorkeling. They were also very accommodating and accepted gratuities via credit card.

Please do yourself the biggest favor and book with them. My husband and I were not disappointed and we will be booking another tour with them the next time we are in Key West.

Kayaking through the Mangroves was one of the things my husband was looking forward to doing while in Key West on our honeymoon. I happened to find a Groupon for Kayak Kings for a tour! We were able to get set up with a tour and luckily it was just the two of us + the guide! This was so much better than I could have imagined. We have kayaked dozens of times together before but nothing like this! It was so cool traveling through the mangroves and seeing all the fish, some jellyfish and even some sharks! Andy, our guide was knowledgeable in everything he was telling us about the mangroves and the island of Key West. If you want to experience something off the beaten path on the island, I HIGHLY recommend giving Kayak Kings a try!

Traumatizing! Their information clearly stated it was “good for beginner paddlers”…SO WRONG! The majority of our group were beginners and our guide said we would just have to keep with him because he had another tour after ours. Three of us were left in the mangrove maze to find our own way! After 30 minutes or more we found the group waiting for us…mind you, the guide never tried to find us! After that he took off again…this time leaving 5 people behind in the mangrove maze!

When we exited the maze they were waiting, but then took off and left us again to paddle out of the canal.

The last straw was trying to paddle against the current to return to the starting point…it was over half a mile at least. Three of us were stranded at a mangrove island to tired to paddle any further! After 15 to 20 minutes of getting second breath I decided to try the upstream paddle again. About half way I met the guide…he went by me saying he had to get the other two…never stopped…never asked me if I was ok!

Bottom line…I was traumatized…broke an entire fingernail off to the rootbed…without so much as a “how are you?” NEVER go on this tour if you are new or a beginner…it is for experienced, in shape kayakers!!!

Again…TRAUMATIZING! Oh, it was over 3 hours total…not the 2 it was scheduled as!

We chose Kayak Kings because they had an early morning paddle - 7AM. It was so peaceful and it ended up just being the 2 of us and our guide. He was very professional and knowledgeable. We loved hearing his passion for the mangroves, animals, and Key West. He knew a lot about plant and animal life. The paddle was great. We went into the maze of mangroves where the guide was able to point out nesting birds, jellyfish, a snake, crabs, and lots of birds and fish. At times we had to lay flat in our kayaks to get under branches. It made the adventure much more fun. We really enjoyed our trip.
