This pier is at the oppisite side of Key West from the Historic Harbor. The pier is very wide so can accommodate many people. Since it is quite long, it really feels like you are hoover over the ocean. White Street runs straight into the Pier. This is about 8 blocks from Duval. This is just next to Higgs Beach. There is no fee to walk on the pier. You can also see some fish since the water is so clear. White Street Pier is also called Edward B. Knight Pier and has an address of 1899 White St. There is no shade here. If you come on a hot day, you might make this visit in the morning.

Just a beautiful place to walk and watch boats go by. Pelicans and other birds are fun to watch. If you're lucky you may see a manatee. Morning till evening it's a beautiful spot.

This is a nice area to spend some time after the sunrise pictures. There is a nice public beach that offers rentals of kayaks, SUP, etc. The bike path goes quite a distance and the garden club is nearby. There is also a wildlife sanctuary across the street, but it was not open when we visited.

I finally was able to make to the White StreetPier and watch the sunset. OMG! We had an amazing time watching the sunset. Being out as far away from the shore it was like being on the water. We enjoyed this so much. I would say this is a MUST while in Key West. Rather romantic actually.

Nice, long, very large pier that you can bike down or take your dogs. Plenty of benches. Palm tress at the start of the pier make for some lovely photo ops. The water at the pier is crystal clear. Ideal vantage point to see the sunrise.

It doesn't have the striped cement buoy for a photo op, but this is the actual Southernmost spot in Key West. During the winter the pier is a great alternative to Mallory Square to watch the sunset. You won't be deluged by the crowds, and you will be more likely to meet the locals. Folks also tend to let their dogs off leash here so be prepared for friendly pooches. This is also the best place to watch the sun rise.

Each trip I make to Key West must include one early morning at White Street Pier. It's next to Higgs Beach, so you see the homeless people sleeping in the picnic table pavillions there, but they don't bother you. There is a very moving AIDS memorial at the entrance to the pier. You will see early morning dog-walkers, joggers, bicyclists, fishermen. But I go for the best view of sunrise. Once I hit a spectacular view of simultaneous sunrise and moonset. Bright sky illuminating to the east and dark sky with almost full moon to the west. Both were punctuated with clouds that made the light even more interesting. It felt like being on two different planets at the same time! You have to be lucky to catch that scenario, but if the weather is good and you like early morning, there's always good sunrise views here! As everywhere in Key West, people are friendly and will talk and offer suggestions to go restaurants and locals' spots.

Loved the White St Pier. We rode our bikes here every morning to watch the sunrise. We have some absolutely gorgeous pictures. It is very mellow in the morning. We would watch the sunrise and then get our workout in. We took our resistance bands and jump ropes - there is plenty of room. Is is also a good place to run. The pier is also home to the Key West Garden Club and there is a charming beach-side botanical garden that should not be missed if you are there. Then you can pick up the bike trail and ride ocean side for a few miles.
Beautiful, peaceful and not packed with people.

The pier is located in the same proximity as the West Martello Tower and the Key West Wildlife facility so you can visit all three on the same trip.

The White Street Pier is a long, modern pier. There are plenty of benches to sit. There is the Key West AIDS Memorial at the beginning of the pier. We enjoyed watching the wind surfers from the pier.
