Upon arriving at the bike shop, you'll be fitted with your bicycle and begin your approximately three-hour pedal through town.

You will see the highlights of Key West, of which there are many. Pass Simonton Street Beach, the Green Parrot Bar, Key West Cemetery, Higgs Beach and the Southernmost Point of the United States, just 90 miles north of Cuba.

Of particular note is the Customs House, which presides over historic Mallory Square. Dating to 1891, the faithfully restored, four-story architectural gem was originally home to the island's customs office, postal service and district courts. "Old 91" is today a national landmark and headquarters of the Key West Art & Historical Society.

Another slice of local history unfolds as you approach the Presidential Gates of the Harry S. Truman Little White House. Built in 1890 as the first officer's quarters on the submarine base naval station, the abode served as Harry S. Truman's base of presidential operations during his 11 visits to Key West.

Of course, Key West also is known as the home of Ernest Hemingway. During your bike ride, you will see the residence located at 907 Whitehead Street, across from the Key West lighthouse, where the famed writer lived from 1931 to 1939.

One of Hemingway's legendary haunts was Sloppy Joe's Bar. Founded in 1933, the bar was located on Greene Street, just off Duval Street, during Hemingway's day. The bar has since moved to its current location on Duval Street, taking with it its storied connections to Hemingway, who suggested the name for the establishment.

Other landmarks on today's roster include Dog Beach, Flagler Train Depot, Jimmy Buffet's first house, and Jimmy Buffet's Margaritaville, the Duval Street watering hole that embodies the laid-back lyrics of the beloved singer/songwriter.

After returning to the bike shop you will finish with a slice of Key Lime pie, a refreshing must-taste here in Key West.

This tour was so informative and fun! I've been to Key West many times, but I have a much better understanding of the history, people, and culture. Additionally, my group was late to our appointment, and Chris was unbelievable understanding and accommodating!

We have a wonderful time on this tour. It was just my husband and me along with the tour group. Enjoyed seeing the main sights and learning some of the history of Key West. Would certainly recommend for anyone...who can ride a bike! The key lime pie at the end was also delicious!

Took this tour with wife and two teenage kids. We all had a good time. Got to see all the major spots and learned a lot about the history of Key West. Many of the sight are to far to walk and this sure beats riding around on a bus. No hard riding all flat and cruiser bikes supplied were... More

Thanks for the great review! I'm glad you enjoyed the tour, but must make a disclaimer on your idea for an afternoon tour. We offer them only from November to April, because from May to October the afternoon is the hottest part of the day, and it gets hot here! We do offer the morning tour 365 days a year... More

We went on a great 2 hour tour with our guide Sarah. She did a great job of stories, history, etc. Would highly recommend this bike tour as a great way to get your bearings on the island and get great recommendations on restaurants, ghost tours, etc.

From beginning to end... Once on the pier, there was someone, not from Key Lime Bike tours, that directed people where to stand and wait. Coming from the ship, especially for those with woman or children there are no bathrooms at the pier. Because the process to meet, get off the ship and wait for instruction took over an hour... Wow, what a thorough review! The ride is almost 6 miles in total, spread over 2.5 hours, so the pace is mild. I'm sorry it took so long for the tour to get started. I remember that day, it seemed the crew from the ship was a bit disorganized! I'm glad that the delay didn't seem to detract from your... More

On a recent trip to Key West we decided to head out on a bike tour and had the best time. Our tour guide, Irena, was very expressive, bubbly and energetic. Not only did she have a vast amount of knowledge that she shared with us, she had a true passion and love for Key West. We were so happy... More

This bike tour was the highlight of our trip to Key West. Our guide, Irena, was very friendly, informative, and down-to-earth. This was the first thing we did when we arrived in Key West via the Keywest Express, and we were so happy we did. This gave us a good layout of the land and we easily made our way... More

What a great tour! The bikes and helmets were clean and in good shape. Safety was never an issue and they even included a much needed water bottle. Our guide was amazing! I'm sorry I can't remember his name but we were there from a Cruise Ship on Sunday, March 26. The trivia our guide knew was amazing. I HIGHLY... More
