Shipwreck Historeum is worth a visit mostly because of the its observation tower, which provide one-of-a-kind panoramic views of Key West and the surrounding sea. Bring change for the binoculars mounted at the top, and a camera too. It's not a good choice for those with bad knees or a fear of heights. (Before you decide to blow one of... More

If you can physically make the climb up all the stairs then you are rewarded with a great view of the city and surrounding waters!

To climb the tower you have to pay to enter the Shipwreck museum. It's a rather high tower, offers a nice view of the town.

Previously see shipwreck museum review, part of video and recreation is to climb the tower, which is half the height as described by the character actors/docents.

The visit to the Shipwreck museum was educational and fun for our entire family. It gives you an idea of what life was like here before trains and highways.

Part of the shipwreck museum so you have to do the tour to get to the tower, lots of steps and a small platform at the top that is crowded, some decent views though

There are but a few places in Key Wet were you have a water view from high above. You also have a view of the old town with its buildings and watch the trolley or tour train go by. It is always fun to go up.

At the Shipwreck Museum, several dozen steps up to the top provides a great view of the island and surrounding areas. Don't forget to ring the bell!

The museum is okay but make it a point to climb the tower. The museum has many artifacts found by the "wreckers".

The ship wreck tour was pretty good too, but nothing beats the amazing view! Half the feat is actually being able to climb to the top. It is so worth it once you get there. You can almost see the entire key and the neighboring key as well! Beautiful!
