Captain Keaton was great! We were a group of 8 people with mixed fishing experiences and everyone a great time! We caught a bunch of fish and even a couple sharks. Would highly recommend if you’re looking for a fun Key West day adventure with a larger party.

We had a great trip today with Keaton and Eddie. They put us on some fish and we ended up with everyone catching quite a few. Over 20 keepers. The kids had a blast and we will be back to fish with them again :)

Trip started out alright. We were 6 on board, with only four poles going, so basically you’re paying to take turns and spend about 20 minutes reeling in a fish during a 4 hour trip. Fine, that we can get over. Next issue was the way the captain spoke to you. First mate was nice, but the captain had a serious attitude issue. I’m a novice, and lost my first fish, to which the captain responded with yelling at me and literally cursing at me. First mate seemed uncomfortable and was trying to divert my attention by saying “it’s alright, you’ll get another one”. By now we’re wondering what kind of service we’re paying for, considering the insane price. Eventually we head back, and when we arrive they start preparing the fish. We look over, and much like the experience someone had, we notice the captains keeping the two biggest fish for himself because “that’s what we use for bait”. Right... We’re getting ready to leave after getting our fish, and go to tip the captain. First thing he does is count the tip, and then go “only this much?”. He then proceeds to CONFRONT us, telling us that they took amazing care of us and that we need to take care of them. He starts telling us that we need to tip them per HOW MANY OF US WERE ON THE TRIP. So now on top of the 600 dollars we paid, we also have to tip at least $100 more. Would you like us to pay off your mortgage and taxes while we’re at it? Ruined the trip entirely. Absolute bs. Save your money and go to a real company where they’re professional and will actually make it worth your while. P.S. if you’re wondering how professional they are, just look at the way they respond to reviews. Should give you an idea of their way of handling things.…

I’m not really even sure what to say here...... At least she admits the fishing was great! Got to fight a fish for twenty minutes....lost others...that’s pretty good.... 4 lines.....probably accurate. Might have been windy, the conditions often dictate how many lines you can troll before they become unmanageable. 4-7 is typical. The review has the price wrong......our half day shared rate is $175.....not 600.... The Captain wouldn’t keep you’re fish......he has no reason to. They were Bonitas.....not good to eat but are used as bait. As for the tip.....yes the mate works for tips just like a waitress or waiter or batrtender. I did ask the Captain if he confronted the guest regarding the tip and he admitted he did ask why she was so displeased but did not ask or request a bigger gratuity......He’s been doing this for twenty years and has hundreds of five star reviews and as far I can remember this is his first one star.....idk....you be the judge. Either way he won’t do that again. Anyway....read the hundreds of great reviews and give us a call. Call us direct at 305-304-5816 and mention this review and we’ll give you a nice big beautiful discount.

Took a 4 hr private charter with Captain Billy Wickers and his mate Patrick on the Linda D. We couldn’t have been more pleased with the trip. We caught roughly 20 lbs of various Snappers and each of my older teenage boys caught a barracuda as well which was a highlight for them. Captain Billy knows the waters well and put us right on the fish. Patrick worked his tail off rigging lines and changing bait, making sure we all had an awesome experience. Patrick filleted and cleaned all the fish for us, and we had the fresh catch cooked at local restaurants for back to back evenings. I would highly recommend Captain Billy, mate Patrick and the Linda D for anyone looking for a Key West Charter. You won’t be disappointed.…
