First, let me say the one star isn't in regards to the Key Lime Pie. Kermits Key Lime Pie especially the Chocolate Key Lime on a stick is Amazing!!!!
The customer service is the reason for the bad review. We went in on 5/13/22 with much excitement since it's been 10 years. The two gentlemen at the counter were rude and didn't want to help. I asked about shipping some home for my father in law and he proceeds to tell me how expensive it is and trying to talk me out of it. I told him it was no problem and that we wanted to ship the chocolate on a stick. He said they couldn't do that then proceeds to rudely ask what we wanted now. His demeanor made us leave feeling like we were unwanted. I went onto the website and shipped exactly what we wanted home.
It saddens me that this was what I was looking forward to the most and their rudeness ruined that experience.

Delicious key lime pie, very good consistency but I thought the crust was a little too hard. The key lime candies were very good as well. We were at the store which has a few chairs to sit and eat a piece of pie($4.95). Everything was very clean and well kept.

Just happened to stumble upon this cafe and we got the best fish and chips and you cant beat their seating area. Of course got key lime pie which was also super tasty. Definitely suggest stopping here for a relaxing lunch.

Very busy spring break time. They stayed open past their close time. Key Lime pie is authentic and good portion size. They have other desserts as well. A great way to top of an evening in KW.

I got a slice of the *plain* Key Lime pie to go and ate it in my hotel room later that night. It was quite yummy, but I was disappointed that it had whipped topping instead of real whipped cream. But this beat the pie served at Latitudes, hands down. Creamy, tart, with a graham cracker crust that didn't overwhelm the subtle flavor of the filling. Don't know if this one's the best, but it's definitely a contender!

Saw it on a travel show so thought would try it. Was also recommended by a local to go to this one specifically. Only small but lots of key lime products and a good menu for the cafe. The key lime pie was amazing and the other food was good . They do need to sign post their disabled access to the shop though. We were lucky as a very kind tourist found it for us. Staff were all very helpful

Never had key lime pie before so nothing to compare it to, but must say, it was delicious. We will be going back before we leave the Keys for more!! They also have other key lime things like cookies, pie mix, ice cream...! Server was very friendly.

We also stopped here after seeing the shop from our trolley tour. Did you know so many things could be made from key limes? Well, neither did we!! Of course we had to get the key lime pie and a limeade. The shop was crowded, we were here on a one day tour form our cruise ship. We did end up going to sit outside in the side of the shop, where there was a lovely pond filled with koi and nice music playing. It was not the "best:" key lime pie in the world, but it was decent, and it was fun to look at all of the key lime products for sale in the store.

This was one of our 2 must dos on a cruise ship stop in KW. It was a home run with our family of 5. We ordered a whole pie and were given plates, forks, napkins, and a slicing knife that we were asked to return. Our youngest wanted a chocolate covered key lime on a stick that he received and loved. We were directed to a lovely, outdoor seating area next door that had nice ceiling fans and shade. There were flowing water ponds with large fish. It was a lovely setting to enjoy some amazing Key Lime pie. The four of us all enjoyed large pieces of pie with some additional follow-up seconds. We even gave the youngest some.
We had gotten cups of cold water, also. This was an outstanding dessert stop in every way. It was $18.95 for the whole pie and it was worth every penny.
Cute shop and the gentleman out front (Kermit ?) really tricked our youngest son by appearing to dump a whole pie on the front of our son's shirt. Just a lovely little place.
Highly recommend Kermit's.

The pie was wonderful, and the staff had a smile and nice tone. However, the coffee machine was broken, and the staff would not give us change. (We spent $19, and she would not break a 20.) The place across the street has more visitors.

I purchased a whole pie on Nov 30th with cardboard box carton carrier to take back as carry on on my flight back. I got home and noticed the date on the bottom of the box is dated for July 2016! Is this the expiration date? If so, it's December 1st now and I hope I wasn't sold an expired pie!

No. That is the date that the box itself was manufactured. Because the pies are made fresh in-house for carry-out, they do not have an expiration date on them.
