It is TINY! Took 5 minutes to look around (and yes I did read the informational signs). I live in Ca so LOVE the Monterey Bay Aquarium and Long Beach ones. I was shocked at how small it was. My friend and I joked ( half so cause there is much truth) that a nice pet store has more tanks. On an upside the gal running all the feedings was really funny and kind.

The exhibit was really nice however, the icing on the cake was the attendant! I wish I had her name. She was very knowledgeable about all off of the fish and could answer every question we had. It was also a place to cool off 😎.

Last day of our trip and we were lucky to be able to meet Rae who we talked to easily for an hour. She answered all of our questions and was such an incredible person, so knowledgeable and kind. You should give her a raise! Will absolutely be back. - The couple who asked “Why is the ocean salty”

I have read many critical reviews of the Key West Aquarium and did not expect much when my wife said she would like to visit. What a wonderful surprise.  We spent almost two hours looking at the various displays, reading the information at each tank and talking with the staff. So many species on display that we have never seen in other aquariums.  My understanding was that some of them were confiscated by FWS agents from illegal traders.  Although I will probably never journey out to the reefs, this small sample of the plant and sea creatures that live there gave me a deeper understanding of what drives the people that are so committed protecting it.  I will be adding several of those organizations to my charitable contributions list this year.

Rather disappointing. Understand facility was badly damaged by hurricane Irma and undergoing renovation which is expected to be completed by summer 2021. Small tanks were interesting but labelling was poor and hard to read. Outside area was closed due to reconstruction. Guides not very interesting - seemed bored! Thought the price was high for what was available. Guide said could have ticket stamped for free admission when work if finished. think it would be better to have offered lower rate now. shark tank was quite interesting.
