From start to finish, an excellent experience. My family (husband and and two children ages 9 and 15) went on the afternoon dolphin and snorkel trip while in KW last week. We all had a wonderful time, and agree that this was our favorite day of ALL vacation. Capt Brady and Jacqueline are so kind and so knowledgeable. Highly recommend over the boats full of half drunk vacationers, which we regrettably did to see the sunset one evening. This was my 9 year old son's very first snorkel in the ocean and Jacqueline, who was our amazing snorkel guide, made it wonderful for him. She even found something on the bottom to show him and dove down several times to retrieve his lost flipper. We will definitely be back the next vacation to Key West. Thank you Brady and Jacqueline!!!

This boat tour was absolutely wonderful! Billy, the boat captain, designed this boat to be eco-friendly. It’s very new, feels very modern, clean, and comfortable. Kelsie, his first mate, was extremely knowledgeable about all of the wildlife we encountered. We kayaked in very shallow, calm ocean water around a small island that is inhabited by several species of birds. We got to see them up close and personal from our kayaks. I also saw a young sea turtle, which is always a delight. The snorkeling portion was done on a nice reef, which had lots of fish and other wildlife. They took pictures of the fish we saw and uploaded them to our phones at the end of the trip, which was nice because a lot of tours will charge an astronomical amount of money for pictures like that. After a nice vegetarian lunch, we went out to see dolphins. (Snacks were also served several times throughout the day) We went to an area that dolphins typically hang out in, and they came to the boat pretty immediately. It was apparent that the dolphins enjoy the visits from this boat, they played, made their noises, and really showed off for us. The tour was from 830 to 1 o’clock, and the amount of action and wildlife we saw in those few hours it was really amazing.

Outshines all charters I’ve taken before in Key West. This eco-conscious company allowed me to enjoy the “Reef Snorkel and Sunset Sail” on the Blu Q Catamaran while feeling ocean friendly. Guests were never crammed like sardines on the Blu Q! 🙌🏼 Mate Katie showed our small group unique sea life during the stunning reef snorkel. Professional, chill vibes from the personable and humorous staff (Captain Billy and Katie) who tailored a magical island experience without us feeling rushed in the water. Loved the awesome tailored playlist. Relaxing atmosphere! Snacks were delivered in perfect timing (just wait to try the hummus!). I plan to adventure again with Honest Eco Charters where I know I won’t be disappointed. We even saw dolphins on the way back under a flawless orange sky. This is what island dreams are made of. ☀️

Our group of seven adults rented the Squid for a private tour for the afternoon and evening. Captain Billy and first mate Kelcie were amazing. We started with some snorkeling over the reef, had a solid hour of dolphin viewing (20+ dolphins swimming right next to and all around the boat!), and hung out on a sandbar for about an hour. The trip ended with a ride back to Key West while the sun was setting. The fruit, hummus and vegetable platters provided were great. Due to the length of the trip we also brought some sandwiches on board which the crew easily accommodated. We also brought our own beer and wine on board which was also perfectly accommodated.

I had initial concerns that the electric boat would be slow which were totally unfounded, it was great.

We so looked forward to being able to get out in the water while on our inaugural trip to Key West. We know how important it is to practice conservation and sustainable daily practices so were thrilled to come across this option. The quiet, nimble and fun electric boat is absolutely awesome plus we were enlightened with all the local tidbits the crew had to offer. We had our own wealth of information on Key West, the fragile coral reefs, and anything we wanted to know about the fish and fowl we saw. We enjoyed a healthy (certainly the healthiest- and tastiest!) lunch we had during our extended weekend in Key West after snorkeling and the kids learning about different types of reefs and why we were snorkeling a sponge reef. Saw plenty of fish, swam away from the biggest jellyfish I ever wish to encounter , almost angelic rays and grouper. There were wetsuits and gear to fit us all. We witnessed so many beautiful dolphin pods and followed some females and their babies. Beautiful experience. The biggest compliment on this trip? The kids were asking if we could do the sunset offering on this boat that night;) The boat makes you feel part of the ocean; there‘s no damage being done to this exquisite part of the world and you know you are doing your part to keep it that way. An absolutely wonderful experience to cherish and we are so thankful for this experience!

I had a dolphin swim/snorkel planned for 9am this morning. I had a request from Honest ECO yesterday to bump it to 2pm today instead due to capacity issues (not enough people to meet requirements). I agreed to get it bumped from 9am to 2pm and rescheduled my day to make the 2pm time for them.

At 1pm today, I got a call from the captain while getting ready to leave. He explained they didn't meet the minimum requirements for people to go out (again) and I could either get bumped again to tomorrow for 2pm or take the sunset/snorkel on a different boat later today.

After deciding to cancel, I sent their terms and conditions regarding the "no bump policy". I am told this only applies to scheduling when it relates to them overbooking a boat. Please see attached photo. If you are visiting during a slow season, be aware they will bump you to a different time and/or day if they don't meet the minimum amount of people to take you out on the water, regardless of the reservation you made with them.

Overall there was a great deal of miscommunication, ultimately the boat that was to be used today for the trip is under maintenance and not going out today at all (not capacity issues as explained above). Somehow all 3 people I spoke with (including the captain) were unable to tell me that. They only told me about not having enough people on the boat to meet the minimum requirements for the trip.

We did Honest Eco's Sunset Tour and their dolphin and snorkel tour in the same week. These are small, intimate tours with maybe 20 people on the boat with you. Later in the week, my wife and I did a tour with another company that was much larger and more commercial and I can safely safe Honest Eco is the way to go. They have biologists on the trip that clearly have a passion for the reefs and animals that live around Key West. The reefs in the Keys are amazing and the sunset tour snorkel was one of the best snorkeling tours I've ever done. It holds its own against Hawaii/Maui, the Caribbean, etc. but the Honest Eco tour guides are what really put it over the top. We learned so much on both our trips and appreciated how small the groups were so you get individual attention. On our two tours we saw a sea turtle, a stingray, and even a small lemon shark! If you want to a top shelf snorkeling experience at a reasonable price, go with Honest Eco

We went dolphin watching and snorkeling and then we went on the sunset trip and snorkeled again too. Both times were excellent! The guides were very knowledgable and made sure to focus on the wildlife. They were friendly and had a wealth of knowledge to share. Snorkeling was super fun and fully accommodating with groups and families of all ages. Can not recommend enough!

This boat tour of the Keys was enjoyable. We had hoped to spot dolphins, captain Kate (with good humor) was committed to finding them, but they were elusive today. In the meantime, her and Kelsey, a marine biologist, told us many interesting facts about the Keys marine life and more..very interesting!
First we went kayaking, and the boat's owner actually met us, sharing his expertise of the area. We saw sea turtles, jelly fish, small sharks, a barracuda, and numerous birds.
Our snorkeling experience was fun.
So many beautiful and unique fish and coral!
We liked the fact it was an eco friendly boat with electric/ battery and solar cells. We were served a delicious vegetarian lunch (sorry I forget the name of the cafe:/ )and a fresh fruit snack during the trip.
Book this one for sure!

Absolutely loved the experience! Brady and Jaqueline were tremendous. Their knowledge of the ecosystem, ocean and sea-life made for a great learning experience. We saw dolphins within the first half hour and were able to just watch and enjoy their playfulness. We then went on to the snorkeling area where they gave us instruction on snorkeling and outfitted us with equipment. We were able to enjoy seeing the sponges, fish, and we saw a nursery shark! Jaqueline cut up fruits and vegetables and made a plate for each group and everyone enjoyed. The boat was nice and clean and easy to move around on since there were only 15 people aboard. I would recommend this experience to anyone wanting to get out on the water, see dolphins, and snorkel.
